Casino Royale is still liberal with the booze...as bottom shelf as it is.

Caesars was toying with eliminating free drinks alltogether, so at least thats a compromise.

Going to Vegas in October for a pre baby trip/friends birthday. What's the weather usually like that time of year, still pool worthy?

It will still be hot and the pools will still be open but not as packed as the summer.

Its Vegas, man.

in town, it's servicable.   If you go out of town to golf, take winter clothes.   Buddy's BP in 01 October 8 there were wind chills in the 30s..

I went in early October last year. It was hot, but I don't remember it being unbearable by any stretch.

If you want a good start to the day, head up to the Overlook Grille which is on the front pool of the Cosmo. Bottomless 'mosas

Going in a couple weeks for our annual college football pilgrimage w/ CAS and Hoochcat (gonna try to get out to Southpoint this time and hunt for Mussy).

Last year, we got the buffet at Ceasar's and were pretty unimpressed.  Any elite food recommendos?  CAS requires that wherever we go serve prime rib.

Bally's Sterling brunch.  Never been but hear it's pretty awesome.

Headed to the motherland this weekend.

I've posted it before, but Travelzoo has good deals.  We did the BLT Steak one, and it was a great deal and really good food (they give you the $210 in credit for whatever you want, disregard the "rules".

I assume you've nailed down where you'll be watching/betting?  I'd recommend doing some research into getting one of the book's apps that allow you to make a deposit at the book and make bets from your phone.  It'll save you ages waiting in line at the cage.  I know Ceasar's does this.  I assume most of the other ones do as well.  Might consider doing it at the Westgate if you're into the exotic stuff (and don't mind the ~10 minute drive off the strip).
