worcestershire sauce is great on pot roast       i even make sure some gets on my mashed potatoes

Of course it is, it's the 12th best sauce.  You may remember that it was the 11th best but recently Chik-fil-a sauce entered the top 10 and knocked it back a spot.

I'm not on board with this Woo bashing.  Great addition to numerous marinades. :dubious:

Worcestershire sauce is delicious... I use it to marinate steaks, chicken, burgers, etc.  I also love just saying the word "worcestershire."  It's one of the more ambiguous words in the English language, and I take no shame in butchering the ever loving daylights out of it.

you know what else they used to put in it? pickapeppa sauce. this was discussed by a former employee and current owner a few days ago and the former employee was told that pickapeppa is not currently used and never was but the former employee knows better. so just a heads up to anyone getting a BM at autie maes who thinks there might be pickapeppa in it, there isn't.

Sometimes I go with an obnoxious, mouth breathing sounding "warscht-sher-sher," and other times I just blurt something out that vaguely resembles "war-steh-shire."

Was taught this, the "proper" pronunciation, by a chef.  Also heard it pronounced "Wuss-tuh-sheer"

I didn't know for a long time that my neighbor and student body president Jake Worcester's last name was pronounced wooster.

That is just a lazy pronunciation.   His relatives must have been some mush-mouthed dummies or something.

You've just concisely explained the evolution of the English language.

Pretty sure my grandpa was there in World War II.

"Wooster" is the town and "Wooster-sheer" is the county its located inside.
