« on: April 29, 2024, 11:52:56 PM »Played nine holes of golf yesterday and my back started killing me about hole 7. Same thing happened about halfway through playing tennis a week ago. I've had back pain since high school but this was pretty severe. I have been lifting a lot recently and think that might be the cause. Is this just a part of getting old? Is it even worth it?Played tennis tonight and didn't have an issue but played doubles so a lot less running. Dunno. I never take painkillers of any kind but Ibuprofen may be in my future.
If you have spinal issues, I would advise against lifting a lot (not a M.D.). I fractured a vertebra in my back a little over 4 years ago, and it suuuuuuucks.

« on: April 29, 2024, 12:39:53 PM »almost every tournament in our area was either rained out or cancelled because of the tornadoes. the exception was ours because it was in Lincoln which was slightly less impacted by the tornadoes and the fields we played on were turf so we got them in despite the rain. got second place losing 8-5 in the final. lil sd went 3-3 in the championship and threw out two little dumbasses trying to steal 3rd on him. the pitcher we faced went the full 6 innings and didn't walk a single batter. we out hit them but couldn't get kids home. fun game though. beat the living crap out of both teams we got in pool play. only gave up 2 hits (1 each game).
Baseball coach guy made an amazing appearance. "I've scouted the hills around here, me boys, and I've got a couple in mind for you all to run after this game if you don't get it together"!!!
