Schwinn was way better than AE.
He would've been amazing under Prince. Unfortunately for him though he committed to the wrong team and he sucked dick.

Remember when that Wisconsin fan thought AE was great because he was starting for a "Top 10" team. Did that team even go to a bowl game?

If it were up to me, Wintz would be on a fan scholarship, full ride.

That was an NU fan (conspiracy theory of mine was that it was a member of his family) and that was hilarious.

Allan Evridge 5/27 - 77 yards - 0 tds - 1 int

We lost by 2 in Lincoln and Thomas Clayton ran for 6.5 yards per carry

I bet AE could have competed for the starting QB position back when we had regular students sign up and the forward pass hadn't been invented but I vote we don't add those students who were barely better than AE to the list either.

I find you funny Steve Dave.  Always have.

I know some of you guys are really young, but if you break it down to the Snyder era, there is one qb that stands below the rest:

Jason Smargiasso - 1992

Not even close to any on your list.

I've never heard of him, so I'm not going to add K-State's starter from way back when I was in the 1st grade.

Just because you were still pissing you pants while playing four square when some of us were in college partying are asses off as the only fans in the stadium while watching the worst qb in Snyder history doesn't mean he doesn't belong on the list.  Trust me he was worse than AE....by far.  He couldn't complete a swing pass let alone get it down the field.

Smargassioso Comp %: 48.3

AE Comp %: 47.9

AE also rushed for 2.0 ypc and had -19 yards receiving in his one year starting.

To be fair, Meier had some flashes as a pretty solid gamer in 2004 before getting injured and having to get surgery.  :dunno:

They were both flat out awful.  At least AE was only a Frosh, while Smarg was a Senior.  But at least AE beat KU.

After this season is all said and done, who will hold the title of worst starting QB to ever lace up his cleats for Kansas State?

I'm guessing by "ever" you mean during the Snyder era and not the winless or nearly winless decades that preceded.

Every old K-State fan I have ever talked to tells me about how he went to every game at the old stadium. Of the tens of thousands who claim this to be the case, only about 200 of them are telling the truth. I don't think we need to make the poll accommodate those 200 people.

Interesting that Klein has 0 votes. I don't think he'll be the worst ever but I'm willing to bet he'll surprise some people this year with his horribleness.

I’m with you on the Smargiesso hate, Wooderson.

Dude was dreadful.  If I remember correctly, he had like one good game against New Mexico State in the non-con and then sucked tremendous balls and ass the rest of the year.  That was also the year that we lost to OU on a disputed field goal to end the game in Norman and played Nebraska in the Tokyo.

Weird season.  Horrible quarterback.

I'm pretty sure he'll be worse than Coffman, but it's hard to say he'll be worse than some of the other names.

I don't like to declare some guy a stud at being horrible from day 1.  He's going to have to earn that.
