they are like half cylinders laid on their side steel buildings.
sd cow farm has a giant quonset building that was built in like the 40s or 50s or some way long time ago time. some guy came through Meade like the monorail guy from the simpsons trying to talk all the cow farmers into having his crew construct these massive buildings for them. sd great grandfather was one of them that bit (there were like 4 total in the county). it's still standing and storing tons of tractors and atvs, and giant oil tanks, and tools, and trailers, and crap. the other 3 are also still there from what I hear. Like, this guy was just some snake oil salesman but actually sold quality snake oil that worked. thing has withstood shitloads of massive storms and giant hail and has never required any meaningful maintenance or repairs. Ours has those giant gymnasium lights in it that take awhile to warm up but when they do it's like daylight in there. when I was a kid I tried to convince sd dad to let me set up a full court basketball court in it with a moveable goal on one end and a permanent one on the far end. he declined.
