New driveway quote in April was 27k. They called me back last week to schedule it and told me it went up to 41k. Woof.

We talking just standard stuff or like a radiant heated stamped concrete fancy one?

standard concrete driveway.

Nothing has caused that.  Your contractor is just throwing you a number he can't say no to.

I work with concrete weekly and it has gone up $10/CY.  Labor is up a couple bucks an hour in the last year, but not since April.  Literally, nothing is causing this except that he doesn't want the job for $27k anymore.

I have 2 different guys coming to give me bids next week, so hopefully you're right. Wondering if he underbid it in the spring and is now realizing his mistake.

dunno anything about your situ or about like concrete engineering or whatever, but i paid $1400 for like 80 sq ft of sidewalk, about a yard of concrete.

seems high, but maybe you have a giant driveway, dunno.

It’s pretty big, a little over 200 ft long. Total sq ft is about 3500

$7 a sf should be plenty to form and pour. I would think a buck or two per sf would catch demo.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Outlandish and high maintenance. Under consideration. Could be beautiful.

Family portrait that fills in the square. Behind the portrait put in a safe full of currency in multiple denominations, gold bouillon, diamonds, licenses and passports to three different non-extradition countries, a burner phone, and a 1911 style .45 ACP pistol full of hollow points.

If you're putting in art or urn you'll need a recessed light. Then you can x-post it in handyman thread.
