I think it may be a tear the crap out of the concrete floor and possibly the yard and patio solution.

can't they hydrovac and properly conduit and run it? Hopefully it isn't that destructive

They replaced the plug and their current working theory is that that was it.

They said if they do have to rerun the line it won’t be as destructive as I thought.  They’ll just run it through the yard (won’t have to dig through concrete) and into the house around the patio.

Hopefully the plug was the solution, though I’m pissed I didn’t do it.  Oh well.

It was only $500 for parts and labor but they apparently used a premium outlet so I think it’s a pretty good deal

of course no DIY'r does that and would they even flag some electrician's new run?  I thought those only flagged the service lines from the utilities?

An important distinction for those following along at home is that DQ12's garage is separate from his house so he has 2 service lines running from the pole, 1 to house and 1 to garage.

owning your home does not mean completely paid off mortgage.

but the tweet was also about homeowner equity, which does mean difference between home value and what is owed (if anything). people are getting big fat rich on their homes right now.

i also have a detached garage and the power from the pole goes to the box (?) on the house, and then there is a line running from there over to the garage.

One Call/Dig Safe only locates from the utility service line to your meter. Anything on the other side of the meter is all your’s bros. Private locate service or just dig and hope you don’t die on your side of the meter.
