Or, one of the big hairy linemen is gay.  I think that is not good thing, if he is a bear and into other big hairy guys.  It's a good thing if he likes trim hot guys.

I have since backed away from my fat hairy guys not being as attractive as trim hot guys sentiment. Who am I to judge?

Three observations.

Second, if the Cats play Arizona in a Bowl game, then those two guys might actually directly play against each other.  Wow!

Third, the openly gay player for Arizona might have the most hilariously ironic name for a gay man ever in human history.

My question is this: Why is this newsworthy?

If the LGBTQ community really wants to be treated like the rest of us, then don't make a big deal about coming out.

For starters, there's a pretty serious issue with suicide and LGBT youth, and the community knows that. So stories like this need to be seen to possibly help youth/teens feel more comfortable in their skin, and hopefully help them see that they don't need to be ashamed.

It's the first time in the history of college football that an openly gay man has played college football.  If the LGBTQ community wants to be treated like the rest of us, they shouldn't have to continue feeling like it's necessary to hide their sexuality.  Scott is at the forefront of changing that.

You are correct sir.  He came out to his teammates, iirc, before his last season of college (could have been earlier).

I am not sure if I would put too much stock into the tweet.
