I thought AC2 was pretty lame.  Very repetitive.
aren't you glad it wasn't you? - g.h.

AC2 was really good. If you thought it was repetitive then you obviously didn't play AC1...

Thinking about getting  Assassins Creed 2 or Prototype...which one should I get?

I have not played either of these games, but Batman: Arkham Asylum seems similar and its one of the better games I've played recently. So I would recommend that if you haven't already played it.

Assassins Creed 2. No questions asked.
Prototype is garbage.

It was worth the $5 to rent it.
I've seen it on sale used for around $8 bucks.

Where did you get that overnight bag?

I played through Assassin's Creed I and it was excruciating. I've heard the 2nd is a completely better experience and is much more fun. Thus I'll need to be trying that out at some point.

Batman Arkham Asylum was one of my favorites last year. I was geeking out while wigging out and kicking ass.

Right now I've been going through all of the Tales from Monkey Island games on the PSN. Awesome.

I thought it was great compared to the first one, because it was terrible, but it still got boring pretty fast.

That would be great, if you could find it that cheap when it was just released.

Crackdown2 earned a lousy rough ridin' 7.5 on gamespot reviews.  Read Dead was 9.5.

Just send yours back to Microsoft and you'll get another one for free. Not sure if it will be new or used though.

Had mine for several years, out of warranty, dude.  Gonna cost $140 to have it fixed.

SteveDave, I'll buy it for $50 and a 6 pack of ICE (flavor of your choice)

Uhmm.

Nothing like them.  It's kind of like Red Dead, in a way, where it's not that linear, you can kind of do what you want.  It's a "sandbox" type game, a large area you can roam around do what you want.

If you don't feel like laying down 50-60 for it, pick up the first one for 10-15 bucks used anywhere and see if you like it.  They aren't too different.

Dude, there is nothing linear about Fallout3 or Oblivion.  Have you played them?  They make Red Dead seem like a straight line.

Similar, but medevil, and much, much larger in scope and much, much harder to complete.

I wasn't saying it was not linear compared to FO3 or Oblivion.  I know those games aren't linear.  I'm saying Crackdown isn't completely linear.

IF YOU COULD SPEAK GAMER, i'd just say "Sandbox game"
