i haven't looked at the demographics of his support yet, but beto's overall numbers were great. hopefully dem primary voters will learn the lesson that people like to vote for likeable people. beto says he's not interested in running for the presidency, and unfortunately, i believe him. however, he has a year or so to change his mind. he'd be crazy not to consider it.
on the other hand, gillum, my second choice couldn't beat a horrible candidate in de santis. he even got outperformed by nelson, who may be legally dead. he seems like a good candidate on paper, but he did not demonstrate that with the voters.
right now my third choice (i guess now moving up to second choice) is klobuchar. she outperformed fellow minnesota democrat senate candidate smith by a good seven points. solid if not spectacular, which is very on brand for her.
