Why isn't Little Ag School on the Prairie State in the AAU?

AAU schools are just little teenage girls with a horrible case of the "Look at Mes". KU fits this PERFECTLY

Pretty sure the only professional school they have that keeps them in the 150 is the pharmacy school...appears they have the most research grants while KU med lies near the bottom.

Pharmacy school?  I Didn't realize that they offered degrees in cooking meth.  Walter White would be proud.

Yeah, because in the U.S. News Rankings 104th is WAY ahead of 132nd  :jerk:. . . and according to ku's in over her head chancellor, ku barely clings to AAU membership, looking at ku's research numbers they are dwarfed by most of the AAU member schools.

All the glossy brochures and wild eyed proclamations over the years by folks at ku and it has been nothing but an academic rankings free fall for that school.

Sad . . .

Wow, ever since Bob Hemmenway's demand that KU do whatever it took to become a Top 50 U.S. News University they have done nothing but plummet down the charts.

Epic Fail.

They can't be what they aren't.  They need to dump the crappy law/med school and focus on liberal arts.  They might get down below 100.
[/

Their law school is a joke. Washburn puts them to shame, and I really mean that.

That must be why KU's law school is tier 1 and ranked well ahead of Washburn'.s
Most law school rankings determine "tiers" to be determined by groups of 50.  So, Yale, Harvard, Stanford on down to number 50 are considered first tier.  51-100 are second and so on and so forth.

While KU is ranked much higher than Washburn, KU is ranked in the mid 70s and, as far as private sector median salaries go, doesn't sniff the first tier.  From my understanding, the difference between job prospects for the two schools is minimal.

Easy on the AAU talk, Beems.  Word is that you guys are next on the chopping block.

Ag state U's are going to be targeted given the tightening of NIH funding.  Will be interesting how med schools respond since many are on soft $$ or clinic fees, not paid from tuition.
