in jalisco. pretty easy to make, if you can buy precooked carnitas.

I had this at a local sandwich shop.

The Purple Turkey

Smoked turkey and swiss cheese grilled. Open it up while it is still hot and add one dollop of grape jelly.
The jelly melts and infuses the turkey with sweetness.

You could probly use any kind of bread but I like texas toast for mine.

Are you seasoning the chicken itself and not just relying on other sandwich components?

Hmm, that was my first thought and obvious answer. Salt/pepper the chicken well and if you like, chipotle tobasco has good flavor and the heat is pretty mild. That would be my solution. Or chili-lime chulula. They could be a solid marinade...

I certainly promise that I will make at least 2 batches of the winning sandwich and take pics, and give my thoughts on its taste, presentation, ease of prep, etc.

If we're picking independently, then Limestone is going to be eating a terrible sandwich.

Why has this continued so long? The perfect sandwich is white bread, brisket, and barbecue sauce. This isn't that hard folks.
