When you play in the greatest conference in the history of college football, 14 point losses are going to happen.

I'm sorry, what did you say? Kentucky, really?

Come again.  At home?

Please disregard earlier statement.

If the Tigers played the Jayhawks this year, who wins?

I'd probably lean toward MU. They have more depth and seem to be less volatile. Turnovers have killed KU this season. They'd have two more wins if they had taken care of the ball against Ohio and TCU.

If they played it this year at Arrowhead, I imagine it would be a similar draw as our games against the tornado birds. I think we were around 40K in 09 and 10? I went to every border war game in KC sans the one KU stole in 2008. The games played after Mangino left were wooftown.

Barring a complete meltdown in Morgantown, every big 8 school will have won today except these losers.

And, if Vanderbilt holds on against Ole Miss, Missouri will be dead last in the 14 team SEC.

absolutely amazing.

I wonder if the fans will ever turn on the these jerkoffs.

KU is right on par with Notre Dame ... when it comes to adding additional conference revenue

I feel sorry for Missouri.

Doug Gottlieb was talking about this a while back, Mizzou sold their soul for some shiny new buildings.  And now they are in a conference where no one knows their history, and no one cares.

This is KK's point as well (his recent manifesto)...the soul is gone.

Missouri has no chance to compete over the long haul in football in their division, let alone in the SEC overall.  They joined the SEC in THE rarest time when historic powerhouses Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee were ALL down at the same time...that's never happened in the modern era of football.

But Missouri's soul was always basketball.  KU fans love to mock Missouri for having no Final Fours, but Missouri was a truly GREAT basketball program for decades.

Now, they are in conference that doesn't care about basketball, and further doesn't give two shits about Norm Stewart or anyone else from Mizzou.

It was done during a power vacuum as well.  It was during a time when they interim system president was there.  The previous one (I can't remember his name; former Sprint CEO) ended up stepping down due to cancer.  He was very pro-Big 12.

From folks I've talked to that would know such things, some of the regents meetings devolved into screaming matches.  It was a very divisive issue.

I think you've seen Mizzou lose a lot of coverage and steam here in KC.  Their sporting events here are sparsely attended.  It was largely seen as St. Louis vs. KC in this decision, and as per usual, St. Louis won, which is typically what happens in their internal politics.

There is going to be a permanent fracture in the soul of that university, and the decrease in enrollment is going to be permanent.  Mizzou just won't be as popular a destination for KC kids going forward.  This is still a Big 12 town.

I'm a forum guy, have cruised and posted on them since ~1999.  And in that time only two have ever been in that god awful format, Tigerboard and Coverdogs, a forum dedicated to field trial birddogs, run by 90 year olds and read only by 90 year olds.
