Robert Streb fired a bogey-free round of 8-under 64 on Monday to earn medalist honors and a spot in this week’s Valero Texas Open. Also making it through Monday’s qualifier at The Club at Comanche Trace in Kerrville, Texas were Hunter Brown, Derek Lamely and Jay McLuen.
The 26-year-old Streb, who has made the cut in all five events he's played on the PGA TOUR this season, is a native of Chickasha, Okla., and played collegiate golf at Kansas State University. Streb's best finish this year is a tie for 14th at the Puerto Rico Open presented by seepuertorico.com.
