It's been so long.

First post since circa 2018.

What's up my now older KSU Purple 'Cat fans?

'Cats, Man!

Welcome back!

So many changes since you were last here. Chingon is training AI bots on Ksu fans and gE posting history and plans to bring Poet Warrior and Poonhound69 back as a merged bipolar thread moderator. Clams lost his virginity. Probably some other things happened that I am forgetting.

We really are just THIS close to having a large segment of the population who are just totally cool with outright bigotry with no pretense in any forum. That is nuts.

Yes but what? Pens and notepads or soccer balls or turf fields or what?? Why is this scoop so cryptic?

Could be all of them :dunno:  I'd say fixed assets would be a safe bet.

my boss went to the vegas race, he's not into racing, he took his daughter who is. He liked the cars, but he was not into the event, at all, said he'd never do it again.

I don't think it's a sport that will get you hooked in a one time in-person event like maybe the US Open (tennis) or college football could. But the more immersed I get, the more enjoyable it gets

It's one of a few sports that I think is truly better on TV.  Golf is another.  With either of those you can't possibly have a sense for what is going on by just watching it....you need loads of other info to complete the understanding.

I think Dax means that not a lot of purchase orders are going to get filled at KU anytime soon, so don't waste your time calling on KU leads.

I can't think of any type of race that enjoy watching.  That's weird, never thought of it that way before but its true.

attorney here checking in-

point of order here on this subject- I never, ever, ask a witness to testify by using the term “take the stand”.  what is this, Matlock? wow, sorry for the obnoxious question.

interestingly, I usually meet with the jury and my witnesses offline and explain to them that I have a system that is very different than most might use.

when I blink just my right eye three times, it means “take the stand”.  when I blink my left eye three times, it means to lie and quit telling the truth to the jury.

two alternating blinks means great job, now leave the stand and return to your seat.

I just did two alternating blinks after reading this post.

Darn.  I suppose I was mistakenly thinking I was in a world that had all but fully accepted that our universe, galaxy, solar system and planet were really rough ridin' old.

I think it's possible to deny we are evolved from primates, but certainly not to deny the age of the earth.  I like the space alien theories of where humans came from, those are fun.

Sure don't hear as many "the earth is only 5000 years old" people these days, do we?

It looked very cool in the pictures.  I'm hoping to catch a concert that I love there but will probably settle for whatever is in town next time I'm in Vegas.

The production dude we talked to mentioned that Lady Gaga and Eagles were both rumored in the future.

So amazing to see a band you love in a setting like that. I'm rarely jealous but I'm very jealous of that experience. But mostly happy for my friend and good person, Pete

I went to two nights of Dead and Co at the Sphere this weekend. It was amazing. The place is huge, the screen creates the impression of 3 dimensions, not just a large tv screen.  Sat in the 300’s section right in the center on Friday night and that spot is about perfect. Last night we grabbed some upper level stub hub tix and went again and it was still fantastic.

We spoke to a dude who worked for the production crew and he said they plan to  build more in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, but expect to be able to build more and more.

It’s transformative. Any kind of event would be amazing in that venue. Even sports. It’s so rough ridin' immersive.  I’m convinced that someday every major city will have one and it will be the standard for how people experience live events.

Zero chance that Harrison failed to see this coming. He 100% wanted this response.

Sports are entertainment. Adding this sort of stuff increases the entertainment for some.

I think we're going to Japan next July as a family. Probably stop off in Hawaii on the way there, possibly on the way back too. We'll hire a tour guide for probably a couple of the days to haul us around. pretty stoked.
That will be awesome. You should all wear giant cowboy hats the entire time.

Guys, it was a commencement speech at benedictine.  Good grief.
Is your point that he said it at a public forum and therefore purposely invited public dialogue?

Yeah, this thread probably needs to be out of the pit. The Quantum thread is where we discuss the combination of nearly infinite compute with AI to create our new Gods.
