richard pitino is an excellent hire. he will coach for five years at minny and then take the louisville job.

Texas State is hiring Kaspar from SFA. Bit of a comedown considering some of the names that were out there but it's better than our last coach at least (mediocre D3 coach).

Good coach (really good defense), but ssssllllloooooowwwww paced and a big believer in "3PTers are fools gold" philosophy.

Pretty atrocious... However, most of the gopher fans i talk to seem to be pretty happy with the hire. There's a lot of 2014 talent around the twin cities and most of the alumni believe that Dick has the ability to keep them in state...it'll be interesting. Everyone was just happy to see Tubby and his disgusting son leave.

In 1994 Jimmy Wooldridge took Texas State to the NCAA tournament with a 25-7 record. In 16 seasons since, his teams have finished over .500 just 5 times, his best season was a 17-12 mark in the 2005 campaign at Kansas State, and no Wooldridge coached teams have made it to post season play.
