Too be fair, no team this early in the year is going to look impressive against a juggernaut like Bellarmine.High BBIQ post, Sprac-ster!
Peggy Po'sI agree with most of this. We look like a bunch of really talented players (dudes) who haven't played together as a structured team (& without assertive leadership) for enough time yet. Coach & the staff need to keep pushing & pruning in developmental ways. Also, there are few leaders on the planet like Markquis Nowell. And, there are even fewer PGs who can do what he does. I suspect Ques coming back - if he is the pure PG that I understand him to be - will be a big help. We will have some frustrating evenings (like the USC game). There will be some flashes of brilliance (Cam's dunk, Dai Dai's razzle & dazzle). I look forward to seeing how we look in late January through March.
1. TP2 is a really good shooter
2. Dai Dai is emerging as our lead PG
3. Cam plays great D and can still get to the rack
4. McNair is quality depth in the post
1. Kaluma is a big drop off from KJ
2. No leader on the floor
3. Team defense when our best offensive lineup is in, is atrocious.
Boss Phog
We are going to some toilet bowel.
Okay this Saturday you can meet me in Section 17 Row 34 to explain to my 3 year old child what the person on the loud speaker means when they say "F..." and the rest of the word is edited out.Goodness. What music did they play? Old school gangsta rap? I was not there, nor could I hear through ESPN+, please share a playlist or an approximate description (edited to G-rated, of course!).
I'm not sure who handled it worse:All will be forgiven if the 'Cats, like the Chiefs, make the final four.
A) Kansas State University - Claws's foot
B) Kansas City Chiefs - Eric Berry's heal
"Honestly, I've grown to hate so much and so many people since you've left. I can't seem to shake the feeling of being alone, you don't know how bad you hurt me mommy. I know that's selfish but I don't like it here anymore..... I'll see you soon I promise #day68"
he's not been doing well
Me too! Get well soon, Cartier. On topic: now it's time for Mike to REALLY step up!cartier's been back for a while, but now he's officially officiallybackout
He’s all but replaced Diarra at this point.I want to love Cartier much more than I do, I hope he shakes off this slump.
We just need Klieman to hire a dream staff full of guys who hate Snyder. Championships will follow. Hate motivation works.Paging Glenn Mason & Gary Pinkel.
DC could be plenty of Klieman friends. Terry Allen, Bo Pelini, Mark Farley.....Scottie Hazelton (wyoming & USC b4 that)I'm pretty sure neither of these coaches would be too welcomed in Manhattan - and they probably wouldn't WANT to come live and coach in Manhattan either. Just a hunch.
Coach is going to hate oscar. He's going to be merciless to that goofy son of a bitch. This thought has me feeling a little better. I wish he'd hurry up and get here because oscar needs an adjustment NOW!
"Intern HC?" Is that kind of like the no HC option that someone else suggested? I'm okay with Sean as an intern (more like special team intern). If we're going to get an Intern HC, I'd rather somebody like Leavitt or even this Klieman dude.Sean has been a paid intern for yearsSounds like this is already a winning situation then.
oscar "play in" Weber, rolls off the tongue. We could hang all of our "First Four" banners!
This is becoming more and more likely by the moment. Maybe THAT was the strategy all along.Quote from: [email protected]We couldn't find anyone. So, Sean is going to be interim coach until we do.
Our seniors kind of suck right now. You're too kind. It appears our senior guards have forgotten how to play the game. Dean has regressed. It's so frustrating. I think they were overconfident and let their ranking (and 5 - 0 start) go to their heads. There are some nice players (when they play well) on this team. When they ALL slump at the same time, though, they are painful to watch.
We have high end recruits?! To the recruiting thread! This! Excitement level rising.
I DID A PSD! But it's the old willie!I'm old AF and I LOVE these helmets & jerseys. Also, yes pls for the lavender combos (but mainly two-tone, purple + lavender). I nominate _33 for new equipment design guru.
How about just switching quarterbacks? Michael Bishop as the next football color commentator for the Cats!Or Ell Roberson, what's he up to nowadays?
A 45 point game in college is pretty much always an anomaly, no matter how good the athlete is or how bad the defense is. We probably would not have won anyway, but certainly no reason to panic yet. I think dropping us to #16 is pretty fair.Dropping to #16 is VERY kind, IMHO. I think we're more like a borderline top 20 team, but we have much greater potential if all cylinders start hitting in order (see last year's elite 8 appearance as evidence).
I expected the same, BUT . . . that was painful to watch (in person). Here's my hope: Marquette continues to improve and becomes a "good loss" (by tourney/RPI standards) and their wins continue to bolster our RPI. Hopefully it was a wakeup call to our guards too. They got absolutely embarrassed by Marcus HowardMarquette should be a fun testI expect to win that contest comfortably
