Great win and congrats to oscar!  We should be playing next weekend.

But,I mean, that’s our first marquee win of the season, and oscar’s first tourney win in 5 years.  Perspective.

if you're scared of finding parking downtown (you shouldn't be), take the streetcar.  plenty of street parking close to Main in the X-roads and rivermarket.

If the Cinemark on the plaza does leave I’m gonna be crushed

Someone sum it up. TLDNR.

Lawyers were paid big $$$ by KC to negotiate MOU with Edgemoor. MOU unveiled after city vote. City on hook to reimburse Edgemoor for “expenses” if Edgemoor pulls off the job for any reason. These expenses include $45k/month in travel and +1mil in legal fees. Expenses are uncapped and Edgemoor can pull out at any time for any reason whatsoever.  In a doomsday scenario where Edgemoor pulled out late and we owed them big $$&, how would city pay for it?

Doesn’t seem like a good deal for the city. If this’ll article is true.

Now AECOM and B&M are teaming up.  what a clusterfuck.

can somebody please confirm whether Sean played highschool football?  Per his wiki bio, "Snyder earned first-team all-area and second-team all-district honors as a punter and kicker at Greenville High School in Greenville, Texas. He also played baseball."

if this information is inaccurate, Wikipedia needs to know.  and our fans deserve to know.

Zero inside presence on offense at all.

Who could have possibly predicted this would be an issue?

Did not watch. Not surprised. Any advanced stats to explain this away?

Hey guys - we looked great last night!

serious question, though, why were so many of Upstate's FG attempts hitting/going over the backboard?  Just incredible defense - or just another lifeless corpse of an opponent.

Hot take: this team is not better than last year, because oscar's teams always have a fatal flaw, and this year it's that we can't rebound or defend because our bigs are hot garbage. If I'm wrong and you're right, I'll come own it like a man.

Our guards look good.  They handle, pass, and shoot well and they get the ball up the floor.  Of course, it's rare for a team to be successful over an entire season when so heavily reliant upon jump shooting.

The fatal problems with this team are non-existent front court, lack of a true PG, and oscar.  It was great to see them win a close game at the end of regulation instead of shitting their pants.  could almost consider it progress.  but then recall they blew a 15 point advantage in the 2nd half.  oscar's teams are all mentally weak and prone to excruciating stretches of non-productivity.  I predict these issues will continue to plague this team as they begin playing real competition.

Arizona State is apparently really good. These cats are legit!

Yep. Legitimately close to beating a good team. Just himk about it - if we can almost beat every good team we play this year, we may pile up 18-19 wins and miss the postseason. Again.

Our starting guards were 6 for 19 from the field.

Woof
I am not sure who are guars.  Are Patrick, Wainright, Jawraw guards?  The point is serviceable guards.  Last year it was Carl be Irwin, and then nothing.  McGuirl will be a good addition

our entire team is comprised of 2-3 guards.

we essentially have no front court, no true PG, and no playmaker.  no size, no length.  so, basically, expect good results against below average mid-majors and poor results against P5 programs - your quintessential oscar squad.

Will go down as one of the best. We're going to to be naming crap after him for a long time

I wonder what the first thing named after him will be?

Slyin's been on a pretty great run the last few years.  Streetcar, Convention Hotel, Streetcar Extension, and now a modern Airport.  Goodness gracious - it's almost a modern 21st Century City.   And all at a negligible cost for Kansas City residents!!

New terminals in other cities has not led to increase in ticket prices for those markets.

Well, the ticket prices will increase - that's how MCI is being financed - coupled with investment from the airlines.
That line item will increase...yes. the total ticket costs still align with average flight prices across the country....our PFC (not finalized) should still be below US airport average

This all may be true.  But I presume Edgemoor's private financier has projected what the ticket increases will have to be to make the financing work and it would make sense that this is information possessed by the City.  It would be alarming if this due diligence has not been done.

I think this information should be made available.

"The project will be fully financed by airport and airline revenues, not tax dollars."  Airport revenues = ticket surcharges.  https://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2017/09/21/kci-single-terminal-edgemoor-advances.html

Tip for MCI opponents - bitch about the uncertain ticket surcharges (legitimate issue).  If $50 is going to be tacked onto every ticket, voters should be aware of this in before the vote.  But, unless the ballot languages requests approval of a tax, MCI will not be financed by a tax.

It's kind of crazy that the proponents have allowed the debate to be about local flyer conveniences.

you've got to address all arguments - but what I hear most often from Sly and most proponents is simply that MCI is a complete shithole and we don't want MCI to be the first and last impression of visitors/business travelers.  This - and power outages and sewage/plumbing interruption are pretty inconvenient for most flyers.

I surmise most people who don't want a new airport never fly.  If you've been to other modern airports in US and abroad, you understand there's not much to debate here.  MCI is an embarrassing crap hole.
What ppl are these?

see above.

with an airport being such an important keystone to a city for some of you, it's hard to imagine why you'd continue to live in kc considering your thoughts on ours

It's precisely because I love KC that I want our facilities (stadiums, airports, museums, etc.) to reflect my vision of KC.  Kind of like athletic facilities at KSU - I continued supporting out Cats even during pre-reno BSFS days.  But we can all agree a major overhaul to BSFS/OOD was and is needed.

The drop in the EZ was as much Ertz' fault as it was Zuber. He threw an errant rocket when an end over end lob would have sufficed.

It hit Z in both of his hands. So

We were a botched snap and muffed punt away from potentially losing to an 0-5 team. At home. After a bye. This team has issues.
