his team is not good and he has them playing in the WCF, wtf.   BUT HE TRIPPED WITH THE BALL!

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Yes, this is like when Malone won MVP because MJ was taken for granted. When Durant can punish teams for defending him with 6-4 guys he could be a legit MVP.  He needs to be a better defender too.

Westbrook is the heart and soul of OKC.

That was the sound of Scott Brooks getting fired.

why on earth are the thunder switching on every screen, it's like they aren't even trying and somehow they're in it all of a sudden.

They called a timeout at one point and I think "This is to fix that stupid ass Fisher on Diaw switch" and then the Spurs inbound, run a screen, and there it rough ridin' is again.

Scott brooks won't get fired, he's a good coach.

This team goes as the surrounding cast goes. Until they get someone at center with a pulse then this is the ceiling.

If you can't come up with a defensive strategy that holds Diaw under 26 points in an elimination game, you are not a good coach.  If you can't win at home in an elimination game with Parker sitting for the second half, you really aren't that close to catching the Spurs.

OKC needs to make some big adjustments and if one isn't a new coach, I don't know what else they can do.

Westbrook is the heart and soul of OKC.

This is nothing like that, like at all. The offensive and defensive metrics had Durant as a better player than LeBron this season. There was a point I believe as late as March where LeBron was one of the top 5 worst defenders in the league. Kevin Durant was statistically the best player in the league this year.

Scott brooks won't get fired, he's a good coach.

Yikes, I like Brooks but I'm not sure how under any circumstance can he be called a good coach. First of all he has a center that should be playing in Steven Adams. Brooks didn't have the guts to sit Perkins, he and Fisher got way too many minutes. Then there's the offense, or lack thereof. They don't run any sets at all. Russell Westbrook is way too ball dominant but it isn't his fault at all, they do nothing for him to get the ball out of his hands. Westbrook is second in the league in the amount of time he possesses the ball per minute, outrageous for a point guard who shares the floor with the MVP of the league. The Thunder don't score easily or efficiently enough to win a NBA championship, that falls on the head coach. Nice guy but he clearly isn't the coach to win this team a title.

Swap the coaches and OKC wins in 5. The Spurs have a team full of role players in the league's best system.

Parker, Duncan, and Ginobli may be old, but they sure as crap aren't role players.

Role players may have been a bit much but they sure as hell aren't superstars, not even all-stars. Did we forget how awful Manu was in the finals last year, woof? OKC has a lot more talent at two of those three positions.

WTF? Just stop.

Power forwards in the West I'd take over Tim Duncan today
Love
Griffin
Aldridge
Davis
Farid
maybe Ibaka

Point guards in the West I'd take over Tony Parker today
Paul
Westbrook
Lillard
Curry
maybe Paddy Mills

Shooting guards I'd take before Manu
Harden
Thompson
Dragic
Crawford

I'm sure you'll find some way to continue to disagree without actually giving an opinion of your own but what I said wasn't ridiculous

And crap, you named Tony Parker's backup as a top 5 PG in the west.

The Spurs top 4 players (adding Leonard) are better than about every team's top 4 in the west except maybe the clips (really don't know how they lost). I don't disagree w/ you on the individual player rankings (although I think you gave some the benefit of the doubt because they're younger) but not many you mention have three other players as good. People love to suck Pop's male genitals (and he is very good), but he's always been blessed with some great players.

Right, which brings me back to my original point about OKC and Scott Brooks. Pop has figured a way to make those great players a great team. When Parker came into the fold there was an expectation set about what he was to do and when he was supposed to do it. I'm sure you've heard the stories about he and Pop clashing because of how Pop insisted that Parker played. If Tony Parker played for Scott Brooks his numbers would be :surprised: but he wouldn't have the rings.

I think that Golden State also has a starting 5 as good as the Spurs. I didn't have a choice but to select other players younger, I'm pretty sure that those 3 guys are the oldest starters in the West at each of their positions.
