Whether Sterling made these remarks or not, they are repugnant. Silver needs to investigate quickly, but deliberately. Interesting that Sterling hasn't issued any direct denials that I've seen.

I usually have a good post about how boring the spring game is but was too busy being enchanted by the NBA playoffs to remember until I clicked on the BSFS expansion thread.

Yeah I hate the spring game so I didn't go, didn't listen, and dismissed the :runaway: posts about it. The cancer kid and rendo videos are cool though.

I actually do enjoy the NBA playoffs, I just cant sit through a whole game. I usually watch the second half. It doesn't help that they play on the exact same schedule as the NHL playoffs, which are much better, IMO. The Clippers/GS series has been disappointing, too many blow outs. Houston/Portland and OKC/Memphis very pretty good.

It's perfect to me because I don't care for Eastern Conference NBA and Western Conference NHL with the exception of one series in each league. So I watch the early hockey game while flipping to basketball during the commercials and intermissions, then at 9 I swap the process.

I just watched Adam Silver's press conference.  I really was impressed with him, and I think his decision was wonderful.  I'm going to give the whole watching an NBA game on TV another try, just because of him.  I wish I had one of the ratings devices on my TV, so I could "reward" him for that, in some small way.

I've always liked watching the finals, because everyone is really busting their asses the entire time, and you can see how much it means to the players, and it's dramatic with fans going nuts.  If it's like that, I like the game.  Reading some of the comments in this thread about the atmosphere at Mavericks and Thunder games sounds promising.  My personal experiences attending games of poop teams certainly soured me on it.
