At least we're not September of 2009 UTEP, the last home team to lose on their own field to KU....

When will KU win their first road game. Will Beatty ever get one before he's fired?

If KU doesn't have an away game set with Rhode Island, they better get one on the schedule ASAP.

Gridiron: The Perfect* Season

I just went down a The Gridiron rabbit hole on youtube.  My favorite is still 2010 K-State when "the slow start was just too much to overcome".  59-7.

Was that the one where according to all the clips they were really kicking our ass and then we scored the 59 point touchdown at the end to pull out a gutsy win?

No, it was the one where they fought hard at the end and nearly came all the way back to only lose 59-7.

Whenever you miss Bob Davis, just go to the eight minute mark.

RIP Bob.

I remember watching a post-game when KU was just pounded and they asked Gill "What happened?"   He responded with "I don't know".   I remember thinking if you make a 7 figure salary you shouldn't ever say "I don't know" after a failure like that.   Watching that half time pep-talk where he just recycled coaching cliches about football, i think he must just have been being honest when he said he didn't know why they lost.

This was the most fun part of the Gridiron vids.

Wasn't this the game where a few days earlier Turner Gill claimed he "Saw some things" in film review?  Like what the hell do you think you saw and prepared for if the final score was 59-7??  Jeez.

Watching that again, it still makes me cringe and almost feel sorry for those players. What the hell are they suppose to do while he's saying all that crap?

I enjoyed how he repeated everything three times.  Like he was thinking:  'I'm gonna drag this out by repeating myself over and over.'

Iowa State caused us plenty of problems in different areas...........they are going to beat KU by 3 touchdowns.

I listened to 580 on the way home and the sports talk guys were discussing how disappointed they are in KU's quarterback play.  And they were raising the issue that Beatty had assured him they had good options at the beginning of the year and were surprised it hasn't turned out that way.

I wanted someone to just ask them how they could have expected anybody to be successful as a QB on that team when all their issues are put on the table.

Guess I am expecting too much out of 580 radio.

Holy hell, never saw that Gridiron video before. Yeah, that's amazing. I'd love to just play the audio to someone and then after it's done ask that person to guess what the final score of the game was, and then tell them the score.

how much time are we saving typing "bott" instead of "bought"?
