was it a subtle dig at ku, sure.  did it hurt insecure ku fans online, yeah it did.

I'm doing just fine, buddy. I think it makes KSU Athletics look insecure.

They are obviously very sensitive about the funding of their projects and we should be mindful of that

KU and KSU should take more subtle/petty shots at each other.  With college sports abandoning many regional rivalries, schools should absolutely stoke the ones that remain.

On the contrary, we very much appreciate taking dollars out of your pockets to fund our stadium.

If it's for the betterment of the state then git'rdone. I think having the worst facilities in the country is a bad look for Kansas and I have no problem with my taxes helping the less fortunate

I guess this could go into 3 different threads but given we were talking about it here, I guess it fits.

K-State Athletics is being a bit Tom Petty, here. It's an unnecessary comment, and as Goff explained to Fitz, the bonds were actually federal dollars, so, mostly paid by California, Texas, New York, etc. (I will continue to pretend they are dollars directly out of your Kansan pockets, though.)

Oh for sure. Honestly it's only a matter of time we put out something akin to the Government Motors signs you'd see displayed by some Ford dealerships.

why focus on the money others gave them, when we could be focusing on what their own won’t?

I’m all for helping the less fortunate. But when put against the backdrop of KU fans repeatedly saying for decades that when the time comes the price will be paid in a matter of a few phone calls.

Well, I’m still a bit surprised by this arduous path filled with taxpayer largesse

not having the funds to do the entire job has to suck for ku fan

just a typical case of one blue wing rising today, the other blue wing will rise at a yet to be determined date and time.
