They should have put Occasional Cortex up there, even if she does speak like a 7yo. Better optics at least. I’m surprised they couldn’t find an MS13 gang member for the anti-border control response.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning. They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.
considering that MS-13 have been in America for about 4 decades now, the point is that portraying an MS-13 member automatically as an illegal immigrant is incredibly naive (and racist too).
The liberal pitrs seem to be flailing more than usual tonight. Seems this address has them a bit unsettled. They’ll regroup tomorrow with a fresh batch of jouro tweets. Just say your mantra and take deep breaths “but Trump said Mexico would pay for it, but Trump said Mexico would pay for it.”
The Dems making a fiscal responsibility argument about $5B makes me chortle. It should be clear that they only #resist it because Trump wants it. I don't see either side budging. As KSUW said, pub congressmen are the most likely to budge, which would only further fracture the party. I don't care whether they add some fencing. Or not. Whatever man. And this shutdown hasn't yet and is unlikely to affect me. Both sides are babies who think we are gullible rubes.

I forgot to watch
After the January 8 Oval Office address, little doubt remains of how this shutdown will end. Sooner or later—probably sooner—it will end the way Trump’s threats of nuclear war upon North Korea ended: with a sudden Trump about-face. It is now only a matter of time. The polls will arrive over the next hours. Democrats and Republicans will both see that Trump did not move public opinion in his favor. They might see that Trump could not even motivate very many Americans to watch him. The panic slowly building among congressional Republicans will boil. Trump, trapped without a decent exit in a predicament of his own making, will yield everything and get nothing.
in the end, EMAW will always win.

Do we not have a master thread for times Trump changed his mind? The 30 day troop withdrawal is top of mind for me.
