It was someone we haven't met yet, but naz is mumped for the time being

Based on that girl's behavior she could all sorts of crazy exes out there.

Well yeah but I at least wrapped my bloody hand up before having sex.

Bodie's silent friend did it.
-
You're a known idiot
-
I am looking forward to watching this series. I just hope they don't move so slowly that I lose interest.

 Townie just bites on the first bare hook dangled in his face.
-
The kids he kicked out of the cab were out for revenge

It was the limo driver.

Limo for a dead guy.
-
Also, who is Bodie? The guy that talked to police was named Trevor.
Also, IMBD lists Naz as only being in 2 episodes. hmmmmm

JD Williams played Bodie on The Wire. He will always be Bodie to me.
-
You're a known idiot
Interesting, if true.
-
The step-dad did it, right?
-
I hope it's never revealed what really happened
-
No. I like his character on house of cards.
-
No. I like his character on house of cards.
He's creepy AF on both shows.

No. He just seems worn down in both shows. I wouldn't be surprised and may even understand either character killing themselves.

"We all get tired. I mean eventually there is nothing left to do but sleep."
-
This way less about who killed her and more about Lawyer vs Detective and the judicial process. I wouldn't be surprised if we never find out what happened.

someone pointed out based on IMDB cast listings it looks like Naz will be spending quite a bit of time in prison

IMDB only has him listed in 2 episodes. Now I see the titles of those are "The Beach" and "Unaired 2013 Pilot"....so that doesn't even include the last episode and next week (which he was shown in the previews) so I don't really believe IMDB anymore.

I beleive they mean the actors playing other prisoners

Yeah I'm just saying I don't believe anything IMDB says.

I'll love and hate if we are never told who killed her.

If we don't find out I am going to be so pissed.

I would love the Serial-type ending. This is the real world, sometimes you don't get a clear answer.

I just googled the rapper Nas thinking he was involved in a murder investigation.

I just googled the rapper Nas thinking he was involved in a murder investigation. Maybe I should get HBO.

Nasty Nas the Esco Escobar...Nastradamus
-
This crap better go to trial Nas!
eff yes. Ms. Kapur!
Dream scenario!
Ohhhhhhh crap. No snitch. "I need your help." Can't wait til next week. Mr. Sharlene is a dead man.
-
Given that this show is a remake of a BBC show from 2008 and it seems to be following a similar path, I'm interested to see if the ending is different.
-
It's starting to get kind of slow. I hope some more murdering happens soon (like in prison maybe).

Did you not see how the last episode ended? There will be murder.

Yes, I did. That is why I am suspecting that some more murdering will happen in prison............
-
I don't think he Chandra dude will be murdered. Naz isn't like that

Hahahah oh yes. I'm glad Freddy is seeming like a solid dude. I hope he continues to be. I like his character.
-

He's going to get hella messed up at least. Nas needs to go back go sleep. Also it was Sharlene, hence me saying Mr. Sharlene.
-
Naz will be moved to a private cell.
-
I don't think he Chandra dude will be murdered. Naz isn't like that
I don't think Naz is going to do it, Chalky White will just order it to happen without Naz knowing beforehand.
-

I don't agree. Some "punishment" might happen, but I don't think it will be as severe as you think.
-
Townie is right, it's the guy who stared too long.

Interesting that you associate MKW with Boardwalk Empire over The Wire.
I don't think they will kill the guy, but he will definitely be dealt with.
-
Townie is right, it's the guy who stared too long.
I'm beginning to think that Staring Guy On The Street is associated with Freddy, and that is why Freddy wanted Naz to take the deal.

Well I've never watched The Wire.

:horrorsurprise:
You need to watch.
Omar is one of the greatest characters in TV history.
-
So, I love "The Night Of" but I don't like how every episode they're trying to bring up a couple of new possible killers. It's reminding me of "The Killing" but with good acting.
-
Well obviously the step-dad hired someone to kill her - either the limo (for a dead guy) driver or Trevor's friend.
-
We saw the killer(s) in epi 1. Case closed.
-
Duane Reade (Trevor's friend, not the pharmacy) is the murderer. The step dad paid him to do it.

EDIT: Beginning to believe that Naz will be found not guilty of murdering the girl, but then convicted of another crime while in prison.
-
I feel like this show is messing with me. I know how the original show this one was remade from ends. And it is following that same general path... I just keep getting the feeling it is going to end completely different.
I think there has to be more to Freddy's story than just keeping Naz safe until he is eventually set free. For some reason, regardless if Naz did it or not, I think he walks. I'm just wondering the why? Is it because of new evidence proving he didn't do it? Or does Freddy have something to do with it? maybe Duane Reade is one of his henchmen who he sent to deal with the girl because of a drug deal gone wrong? She seemed to be in a bad place when she met Naz. maybe Freddy sees Duane as a liability now and knows he can pin it on him in hopes that he has groomed himself a new intelligent soldier on the outside in Naz.
-
I'm glad you don't write tv shows
-
Maybe Naz will get killed in prison right before they deliver the Not Guilty verdict.
-
Nah. I think it's more about how prison changes an innocent man merely by his need to survive.
-

Yes, that much is true already. He's on drugs and an accessory to murder already.
So maybe he gets away with it then starts his life of crime as soon as he gets out and actually kills someone for real.
-
There is a lot of plot left to unfold in just 60 minutes.
-

I agree. It doesn't seem like they have enough time to explore it all properly. Unless this is what happens:
Naz gets killed in jail so the trail gets cancelled. End of story.
-
There is a lot of plot left to unfold in just 60 minutes.
I think they may have a cliff hanger like in the killing.
-
He will be found not guilty and kill her real killer.
-
I'm glad you don't write tv shows
What's your theory? I have about 4 scenario's in my head of where I think it can go. I just have a feeling Naz is going to owe Freddy on the outside and he is forever changed for the worse. And if by chance he ends up on the inside he obviously needs him to not become a blood stain on the bathroom floor.
-
There is a lot of plot left to unfold in just 60 minutes.
A lot, but the runtime of the last episode is 96 minutes so they are giving themselves a bit more time to finish it off.
-

This is a miniseries so there has to be a conclusion of some sort unless it has a Sopranos-esque ending.

Had not read or heard that
Still a lot to cover tho. Makes you wonder why they spent so much time on Turturro's feet.

Well James Gandolfini was the executive producer and lead role :dunno:
-
The British creator had the same disease and wanted to bring awareness.
-
Very MEH ending.
-
Yeah, 6.5/10 on my taint/balls being clung to at the end.
-
A hung jury was the dumbest possible outcome. The prosecution may as well have dropped the charges.
The twist with the financial advisor being a boyfriend was also very lame. No one thought to explore her romantic background until the 11th hour? Give me a break.
One redeeming quality of the episode (and the entire series) was Turturro. He was pretty great throughout.
-
Yeah, shouldn't that detective (or some other detective if he was retiring) have done all that detective work before the trial?

I think that was the point. Box half assed it because he was retiring, then felt guilty.
-
Can someone plz cliff notes it for me? Didn't watch and don't care to.
-
Go away tbt

It was great

I mean I guess the point was that a super innocent young man can be turned into a drug addicted criminal just by spending a short amount of time in jail.

So they copied Making a Murderer then?

Hadn't realized that :sdeek:

my wife is very good at stuff like that.
