Maybe this deserves a new thread, but what the heck. Me and Mrs. CF3 are looking for a new couch and were planning on driving up to Topeka on Saturday to go couch shopping and I'd love some tips.

discovery, having a good sale this weekend and have some pretty nice stuff

We want something nice for when we host Thanksgiving but also good for just you know, like, having a beer and watching a little boob tube. They have that kind of stuff?

just buy this. fantastic for watching boob tube

I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

:horrorsurprise: That is super nice and a great price. However, I will try to haggle down to $275 plus they have to load it into my Dodge Caravan.  :gocho:

Dirt poor ku fan can't pay full price at shitty Topeka furniture store for overpriced furniture.

KU fans may be dirt poor/borderline homeless, but only a real idiot pays full price at a furniture store.  Part of being   :kstategrad:  is not overspending on stuff.

No, its making alot of money.

I sold a papasan chair on craigslist. I listed it for $75. This girl comes to look at it and says "I'll give you $50."

I was like "well I already had another person offer me the $75 and they can pick it up tomorrow. You were the first to contact me so I wanted to make sure you get the first chance to buy it."

She happily paid the $75 AND THE TWIST IS THERE WAS NO OTHER OFFER

Art of the deal.
