I responded to it with a "I'm going to try to lead you in the right direction without posting anything that could lead this guy to sue me" response:

"Ummmm....I would suggest you do a little research before you pick an attorney....there may be (or may not be) a reason you can't find them....."

I was just very vague in my email to him (absolving myself of liability) while trying to get him to divulge his undoubtedly weird story to me.

brunch break with my HS senior to be son.

He came walking into my office wearing his Powercat ball cap and purple KSU Marching Band Percussion mini-camp t-shirt.

He's down to his last two school choices now.   KSU is one of them.

I guess you have to give the guy credit for making an unpopular statement, but I'd have to question whether he's had one too many jumbo glasses of wine before the interview.

"But I just think the common sense factor of jumping on top of things fast and making sure there's an analysis and making sure that there's follow-up, I think that's really, to me ? and I don't read a lot about it ? but I think there's certainly a lot of lessons to learn from everybody."

And the best analysis to be done and have his opinion offered by someone who isn't reading a lot about it.

I say again, coaches are coaches. Some are leaders, but to assume that the term is mutually inclusive is bullshit. JoePa wasn't a leader. Pinkel isn't a leader.

It is interesting that the Penn State folks are now saying Joe was human and he made a mistake.  No, Joe committed a crime, to keep himself and the program bigger than life.

I agree. I think the title of this thread allows for solid threads from GPC, but I doubt that anyone ever actually expected there would be one.
