OT: Wife wants a new semi-auto shotgun - suggestions welcome

Looking at a Benelli Ultralight and Beretta 3901. She is going to keep our Benelli pump under the bed for home defense and husband persuasion, but she doesn't like the recoil or weight otherwise. Must be a 12.

What are your wives/daughters shooting?

BTW, if anyone owns a shop, I'd rather buy from you than a chain, so feel free to reply.
