Hey Guys, what are your feelings for negative points for a missed field goal?

-1 for a missed 50 yard +
-2 for a missed 40-49
-3 for a missed 30-39
-4 for a missed 20-29
-5 for a missed 0-19

We do something like this in a few of my other leagues and it makes the kicks a little more exciting.
Just throwing that out there.

-1 for a missed 30-39
-2 for a missed 20-29
-3 for a missed 0-19

punishing long shots and misses period is sketchy. with your scheme it would be better to not even get a kicker on your roster

The points shouldn't matter really, but as the picture above shows the top 20 Kickers in the NFL make way more than they miss.

i was in a league where the champ game was decided on less than a point and the winner ended up losing on a pt adjustment that changed a sack into a negative rushing attempt lol

Blame the rest of the team for making it close. The difference between a good and average kicker in fantasy is minimal at best.

My only point in it is that if it's blocked then it's technically a turnover correct? RB's and WR's are punished for fumbles and negative yardage. QB's are punished for negative rushing yards, fumbles, and interceptions. Kickers aren't docked for crap but yet they can kick a 50+ yard field goal without any repercussions? And get 5 points for it?? That's one point less than a effing touchdown is worth.

I subscribe to the Dick Vermeil school of thought when it comes to kickers.
