It is not.  I was not present as she was off fishing.  Gator left with a perfectly good mirror.  Returned with it broke off.  Story has changed over time.

Is anyone going to mock Tom's welds or do we just do that for ben ji's brothers welds?

Didn’t see it until it was pointed out. Tom, as your close personal friend I feel like I can tell you that your bead looks like crap.

Calling it a "bead" is generous. I say this with love, Tom.

Better than I could do. I've attempted to weld before and am not joking one bit.

So I own an 82chevy c10 that I bought for crap and giggles for only $500 a few years back.. the ignition switch mustve stopped working so to start it I bypass the solenoid with a screwdriver. get quite the look from folks when I start it up. It's my sanford and sons truck that I take to the dump. seems like it needed to be shared in this thread

That is farm AF Tom, nice work

My dad would make the nastiest welds, but most of the time they held.  So yes I agree that is farm as eff.  Also most farmers are into function, and don't care how pretty it looks.

Back in my metal shop days I could arc a pretty solid bead

I usually need to practice on similar scrap metal to get the amp setting and correct rods.  Since I am self taught.

I was wondering when you guys were going to get around to the weld shaming.  Got a little hot burnt thru the cage pipe.  Had to backfill with some rod.  Might not be pretty, but it ain't falling off either.

Knocked out this sweet 15 ft wire gate today.

That grass is looking hot as F Tom, those cows are going to go absolutely nuts when they get in there.

For reference here is some NWKS grass on my Aunt's land next to the Cat Ranch that has not had cows on it since December (temp fence).

The only green spots are where the dry "Creek" bed is.

Creek looks pretty tho and assuming my uncle doesn't open it up to his cows before pheasant season I bet I can flush a few birds out of the thick cover.

Last year we got some rain out there and the grass was so lush my uncle actually hay'd part of the pasture.
