I remember reading on phog years ago some fan saying when KU finally got around to renovation the stadium it would be so much better than BSFS because KU. Turns out it's a half-ass shitshow because KU with not as much thought and effort to the shrine they built to display the archaic basketball rules Naismith stole from Lambert Will.
I remember this as well and it was multiple fans saying it. Hell, they were saying it back in the Turner Gill years after the Gridiron project or whatever it was called was cancelled. They didn't want to 'piece their stadium together like little brother' LOL.
It’s really LL’s fault for forcing them to break ground within a year of his extension when they really hadn’t been planning to do anything.
The takeoff was rough but they can still land this bird.
I am constantly forgetting his contract whenever I look at this mess of a project they have going. I wonder why did they start demolition when they clearly weren't ready, and then it hits me. LL was going to bolt if they didn't.
Can they salvage all this, absolutely. But it's going to take a lot more effort, and more importantly money, then they have acquired up to this point. The fact that they are behind schedule and grossly over budget already are terrible indications of what may come.
