Hai guys, I'm back in the pit! This thread was actually the one that caused me to take a break. Anyhoo is there anyone in the world who doesn't think this is cringy and highly inappropriate, at the absolute best? Like what the eff are we doing here?

Luka is a fat dumb idiot and the Alt Cast is better than the TNT broadcast.

Thanks for attending my TED talk.

What did Luka do to piss you off? He's an incredible player.

Be a fat dumb idiot

It's very different. We've never had any success in baseball and we're never going to have any sustained success so hoping for Pete to get mumped isn't really the same as it is in football and basketball. We're always going to have the resources resembling a middling AAC program, no matter who our coach is. It's what makes Pete so frustrating is that he's really maximizing recruiting but he's underachieving once he gets the talent here. Just enjoy what we have and hope we can make an unforseen run every few years or so. This is never going to look appreciably better. The only reason why we never Iowa State'd baseball is that we literally can't drop another sport.

They need to get on it while we still have Ken Jenkins.

@WillieWatanabe still listening? Their season 9 recaps have really pissed me off, they're so goddamn whiny. I'm glad it's finishing if I'm being honest.

LOL yes i am. I'm a few behind. I was going to search out my own reviews of the season in this thread to see if I hated that much.

I agree, they are being way over the top. Zach is essentially just pissed he's not in it anymore and when he is, his acting is atrocious.

Yeah, Donald is doing the same. He even admitted that he was mad he wasn't getting monologues and the first one he got in the season, he didn't like.

Scrubs - Med School

:|    Really don't want to discuss this. I enjoyed a couple episodes..."Our First Day of School", "Our Role Models", "Our White Coats."

Lucy just wasn't a great lead character; really enjoyed Drew, Cole, and of course Denise. While i understand them giving this a shot, it will always end at Season 8 for me and I'm OK with that.

OK maybe I didn't care for it either.

I probably shat on it then too, but rewatching it now, I see it in a much better light. Frankly, it's just as good as season 7.

Well if football is anything like basketball, high school recruits aren't anywhere close to as valuable as proven college athletes. Couple that with football freshmen not expected to make much of an impact, Cure is more of a sure bet to red shirt than he is to be an impact player in '25. Finally, the position, of all the offensive skill positions, tight ends are the most interchangeable and have the least impact. You could make the argument that every single defensive position is more impactful than the tight end.

We know Oregon isn't going to give him a big bag, he's supposedly third on their board. I guess it's possible that KU and K-State could get in a bidding war, but I don't see Klieman doing that. Cure is infinitely more important for KU than he is for us, simply because of the symbolism, they need the in state win.

Consensus top 50 recruiting, another 6 foot ish combo guard. I swear Mittie has a monopoly on these type of players.

Bro pretty routinely calls black people by the wrong name, he can't tell us apart, it's funny as hell. I'd love to know what happens in his head when he sees a black person on the grid walk who isn't Lewis Hamilton. It really only ever happens in Miami.

our nil is in a great place, but how much money do you think a freshman tight end, even a five star, is going to fetch? Cure isn't going to scratch the top 10 in nil for us and especially not Oregon. Maybe he would for KU, but I can't think that's a great sign for their program if they're breaking the bank on a tight end who hasn't even taken a college snap.

man eff kyle busch, I was so happy to see his bitch ass get mollywhopped. I can't stand Stenhouse's ass either, but that still of him from Jordan Bianchi's video will be iconic, forever.

Stenhouse vs. Childress would look like this

Have none of you seen I love Lucy? One episode some huge country singer played the Wabash Cannonball on guitar and sang the whole song. He was playing the part of Lucy's cousin or something.

my very first k-state game when The Pride of Wildcat Land started playing the wabash cannonball i was like "oh crap! that's that song from that episode of i love lucy where that one country singer played the whole song, i think he was her cousin or something?" iconic.

I'm damn near 50 years old, loved that show, in reruns, as a kid and I have no damn idea what he's talking about

So the Big 12 was the first to settle this thing. What does this really mean, the articles says that we are basically going to able to pay our players directly from the school. Will be interesting how this is all going to turn out.

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/40192345/big-12-first-agree-settle-house-v-ncaa-case-sources-say

The other conferences also have to approve (likely) and the judge has to approve the settlement.  Haven't seen any commentary if that is likely or not.

Jeremy Crabtree said the other conferences have resolved their issues and everyone has informally agreed to the settlement.
