I sure as hell don't. Really boring and KC never had a team when I was growing up so I didn't give a eff...same with hockey and basically baseball since the Royals are basically the juco to the MLB. Speaking of MLB, I'd rather watch that garbage than NBA
-
Thought I might start when I saw Beas on, but no, still don't really care. Check the boxscore to see how he's doing and that's about it.
-
The playoffs are good. Especially if you really, really hate the Lakers.
-
Love the NBA, just don't have time to watch. Will watch it a ton once CBB isn't on every night.
-
Watched the NBA back in the early to mid 90's when it was good. Since it is all dunk, dunk, 3-pointers with no defense I can't stand to watch it.
If Beasley is on, I might watch a little. Otherwise, I would rather watch paint dry.
-

I won't go out of my way to watch the playoffs, but they are certainly more exciting than your run of the mill game. So I usually watch a few games a year
-
They probably play better defense in the NBA than in college.
-
I like to watch the NBA and do.
-
Just can't do it. Not sure why, but it is just boring as shazbot! to me. Went to a Pistons game when they were good and was . Maybe they need to raise the rims or something?
-
The NBA is great. Those guys are flat out athletes. lol at the "there's no D in the NBA" arguments.
-
terrible entertainment, to talented
-
Enjoy watching it in May and June.
-
40 Games in 40 Nights is my favorite time of year. I love it.
-
The Hawks coach was a couple steps on the court yelling at his team. So Kidd runs into him right as he was backing off. Refs were forced to call a T on the coach. Said coach was PISSED. It was awesome.
-
The quality of play in the NBA is so much better than college, its staggering. No real allegiance to any NBA team though.
-

This. Only time I watch. other than that it is more like this for me... "O hey the heat won vs. the nets, good deal"
-
The Thunder and Heat are fun to watch (except for Wade).

Don't get the Wade hate from KSU fans. He's probably the 2nd or 3rd most fun to watch payer in the NBA. He's fantastic.

I think maybe thats what turns me off. Its too perfect, and it seems like everyone plays the same style. In college you have teams that play in different ways, cuse with the zone, miz with the full court pressure.
The one thing that really drives me crazy is the music piped in during the game. Drives me insane for some reason.

Can't help it. Beasley "ain't no Tito Jackson"

This. And as a basketball fan with the Nuggets in town it's hard not get a little excited. I really wish Kansas City would get a team. Probably not gonna happen though.

Rather have a hockey team. Almost lucked into sid the kid and the pengs
-
I've always liked the NBA.
-
The playoffs are good. Especially if you really, really hate the Lakers. Celtics and Cavs
-
I don't really watch NBA too much but I do like destroying idiots who talk crap on the NBA.

OHHHH! SAME FOR ME!
-

I used to believe that teams in the NBA played no defense until I started actually watching and got to see a few games in person. The league is just set up in a different manner as to promote scoring ( defensive three seconds, no charge zone, longer games) that it appears based on score that the guys aren't playing any defense.
-
Even tho they lose alot..... Watching the Golden State Warriors is ENTERTAINING. Stephen Curry is great
-
My attitude towards the NBA and NHL are sorta like how girls are about football and baseball. "Oh yeah did they win? That's great! Go Nuggets!" The problem I have with NBA games is the same as with NASCAR races...nothing happens until the very end that's of importance. Maybe it's due to the shot clock or because of the talent level.

Didn't Cartier play for GS at some point this season?

college basketball is exactly the same.
-
Listen. The entire reason people don't like the NBA in this area is they don't have a good team to root for. That's it.

Jesus Christ, STFU. You're an idiot.

Wow! That, Sir, is an impassioned response!

Yes, a 10 day contract thing. He did well during tht time. Scored 20 pts during tht span
-

i guess. not really. oracle arena is a complete hole.
and f*ck them for cutting cartier.
-
The only reason you guys don't like the NBA is that there's no local team to root for. The games are a lot of fun to go to in person. It's entertaining to watch the best players in the world go head to head. I'm originally from OK and nobody gave two shits about the NBA in OK until the Hornets, then Thunder came to town. Now everyone likes the Thunder, and follows the league a little more than they used to. If KC had a team, you guys would start following and liking the NBA.
-
no defense I can't stand to watch it.
This is one of the most obnoxious and uninformed takes on the NBA.
NBA playoffs are amazing. I wish I had a local team to that would get me more invested in the season. I've thought about getting in a fantasy league, just to give me more of a rooting interest.
-
Bucket List: Watch a full NBA game
-
Bucket List: Watch a full NBA game
The rule of thumb in Denver is to not even consider tuning in until sometime in the 3rd quarter. The game tonight is exempt from this rule. Go Nuggs!
-
I've tried multiple times to get into the nba. can't. will keep trying though. want it to happen.

I'm like this with the NBA and NFL. Never really had a team to root for, but really want one (esp for NFL). Thought about "adopting" the Skins and Wizards when I moved to DC, but then decided "eff that. I already root for too many shitty teams."
-
NBA related, but not really thread related. What would Miami have to do to be playing around the April 22nd -26th time frame? advance to second round? Heading to Florida that weekend, wouldn't mind catching a Heat game.
-
Thinking bout going to a Nuggets playoff game. Then, Casa Bonita! That be a helluva weekend.
-
Actually kinda enjoyed this game last night.... Loved the trashing of Paul Pierce in the article too.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=mc-heatceltics041710
Pierce once hosted Richardson as a recruit at the University of Kansas. Neither player has fully explained what the problem is, but this much is clear: Richardson has always seemed to be more irritated about the situation – and, as a result, has done most of the talking.
-
pretty unimpressed with the cavs tonight. bailed out by hitting tough jump shots. think they'll get the series against the bulls but will not make it far in the playoffs.
also, watching the nuggets-jazz game now, great offensive game
-
Trying to get Heat playoff tickets as we speak for Friday night. Should have bought them when they came out last friday, but of course I dicked around and now i'm getting screwed because of it. had some ready to buy, but 35 bucks a piece in service fees killed that idea (for 4 tickets).
-
THUNDER ROLLIN THE LAKERS!!!
-
really enjoyed tonights Hawks-Bucks game.
Between the "Fear the Deer" signs and Sandstorm playing during time outs it looked like OoD-North in the Bradley Center tonight :fistpump:

I've been to a Blazer game, pissed they had an organ playing, damn thing kept me awake.
-
It was another great night to watch the NBA if you're rooting against the Lakers. Maybe next time! Let's go Utah!
-
eff LEBRON. eff THE CAVS. its all about the black mamba
-
Worst playoffs ever. Lakers v. Celtics could be tremendous, though.
-
Lebron drama is about to blow up big time. Mike Brown fired this morning
-
LeBron, I know this might sound supremly Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). But how old is lebron? He's been in the league 7 years? And he has made the finals once, and got swept. I dont care if he average's a Triple Double, You have to have the rings. Michael Jordan without rings- Just another great nba scorer. Kobe Bryant without his rings- just another NBA Scorer. Its the Rings that separate the Great ones. And quite frankly, it seems like lebron chokes? He needs to win, ASAP.

Lebron is 25 and Jordan was 28 before he won his first ring...don't be a rough ridin' idiot.

Regardless, He will not win more titles, or even tie Kobe Or MJ.. IMO Kobe is going to get 6 titles.
-
I think I just saw a Phoenix guy in the highlights do a :bball: after hitting a 3.
-
New team that it will be fun to root against: Heat. Best case scenario is that they struggle and are not a real contender. Lakers v. Heat could be epic.

Love how they are getting hammered in the press right now.

So are people hating on Lebron because of the dumb "The Decision" special, or the fact that he could take a shortcut to winning a championship?
I can't really get that mad at him for doing The Special. In hindsight it was a terrible decision but Lebron has had people worship him since he was a junior in high school, was anoited "The King" and was wanted just as much as Jordan ever was and this was before Lebron had even played a game in the NBA (see $100 million shoe contract at 18). It's not hard to see how he would think having a nationally-televised event of his impending decision wouldn't garner the same reaction - at least in his eyes.
About the short cut to a championship thing - I don't remember anyone saying Ray Allen or Kevin Garnett were cheating the game by not staying Milwaukee or Minnesota. Ditto for Karl Malone and Gary Payton when they joined the Lakers.
All this being said, I'm enjoying watching the Heat lose.
-
Going to NBA games is 1000x better than watching on the tube
-
Garnett, Allen, Malone, and Peyton were all very good in their prime but never "Next Jordan" good. Also, they all moved teams late in their careers to have a few last chances at a ring. Lebron left his home state in the prime of his career, while playing for a team that was in contention for a finals appearance. I honestly think no one would have had a problem with the Cavs adding another superstar but Lebron joining Wade's Heat was pathetic. Dude says he wants to be the best ever but his actions say he really just wants the attention that goes along with being the best ever.

Kobe Bryant
-
Kobe is probably a better player but Lebron doesn't even belong in that conversation anyway. If Lebron wins like 3 rings, I'll revisit this discussion. Also, Kobe dominates in the crunch, Lebron not so much. Still don't like Kobe but dude is very good.
-
Does anybody honestly think that if you put Michael Jordan (in his prime) or Kobe Bryant in place of Lebron, the Heat would not be the best team in the league? D-Wade is the most overrated player in the league, but come on, Lebron.
Personally, I thought that Malone, Payton, and Garnett were all little bitches for leaving their teams to try to get a ring. It was hilarious that Malone never got one.

Howling during free throws... priceless.
