I don't think Alex Baldwin's trump is actually that good. The laughs are provided by what trump himself does and says. Who couldn't mock him and get a few laughs?

That's a problem with a lot of political comedy now. There's not much humor to simply tack on to real life events; the jokes need a fresh perspective. The snl skit when Chappelle was on w/the people watching the election results come in was good.

The South Park guys just said something similar. This season they are backing away from politics because it's too easy and really they can't write anything crazier than what trump literally does.

I agree with this. Darrell Hammond did a better job especially with the weird pouty lip thing that Trump has. Baldwin's version of Trump has been better in the past and I think he's letting his hatred of Trump ruin his impersonation.

I was impressed that she didn't break character, that has to be very tough.

Can anyone summarize how they handled the trump-kstew stuff?
