Is Texas A&M's army real?

Like, do they go through training and carry guns and stuff? Or do they just get to carry a sword?

Indeed.

I hear they're not allowed to sit down. Ever.  Also required to twirl white towelettes above their heads at all times.  Carpal tunnel is rampant throughout the corps.

I thought it was the milk men who waved the towels. The army does that, too?

Lot of haters in this thread.  I think it's admirable that they are people who are willing to throw away their college years to join a fake army without the benefits of the real army.  Not everyone has what it takes for fake army sacrifice.

I mean, I sit and think about how Limestone and I spent our college years and it was a waste.  Living with near zero responsibilities, lustfully engaging in the company of coeds...spending nearly every day of those years thinking "what would be the most fun right now," and then doing that.

We could have been shaping and improving ourselves in the rigor of a near-real army.

Opportunities lost.

I don't believe they are given guns during their army training because some of them aren't even responsible enough to handle a saber:

That right there is aggravated assault.  Good for prison time in Kansas.  Not sure what it would get you in Texas.  Promotion in aTm's near-army?

There is just so much crazy stuff going on at this school that it is hard to keep it all straight. You mean they have dead dogs buried in their end zone?

I don't even think they get to carry their swords around any more.  Also, I think Rick Perry was in the corps.
