Topping out beam. Generally on large or important projects the last beam is signed by a bunch of people and kind of ceremoniously set

would someone explain to me why yesterday when they had there last piece of steel ceremony, that they raised the steel up and there is a tree on it? Like the tree is still on it, I don't understand.
