Interesting lack of Mississippians, esp considering proximity to UT and Alabama

Small in-state population, and probably pretty strong pull to stay in state, especially w a good recruiter like Kiffin at Old Miss and the chance to play vs “the best in SEC.”

Michigan’s presence along the eastern seaboard. Alabama too.

Washington’s presence in Bay Area and LA is not surprising. It’s also interesting that UW’s players are basically all from Seattle area or the two big California metros. Non-Seattle recruits from Wash and Oregon must all go to UO, Wazzu and OSU.

The amount of dudes from California, especially from LA, going to all four schools is pretty interesting.

Ted's Vintage Art  is selling reproductions of old-timey maps from Kansas. Might be just the thing for the map lover in your life:

I've never thought about it that way, but yes. Humans are domesticated animals.

I would also consider dodge city et al to be located in the West, but that's a very slight quibble

That place in Pennsylvania at the triple confluence is like the methy hills east of Pittsburgh, lol so accurate. It's northeast, midwest, and a dash of hillbilly south all at the same time
