kind of dislike that Wally didn't get minutes A&M, @NU, CU, @OU, @TT...those were games where we beat the opponent by double digits (all were 15 or more) and yet he only got 10 minutes once (@NU), though he had 4 fouls in the A&M game, the rest of those games he had 0 or 1 foul.  you're telling me that we can't sneak him in and get some real experience in those games?  Maybe then he won't be so lost on offense?  Maybe then he gets a bit tougher or more aggressive?  Can't really treat him like a veteran pinch hitter.
there's few things i dislike about frank but one of those things is that I don't think he allows his younger players a chance to grow and develop on the floor, in game time.  we just have to accept it b/c it won't change.

Correct me if I'm mistaken but didn't Frank develop Jake Pullen and Jamar Samuels?
correct me if i'm mistaken but i think he did.  is everything an absolute?  didn't jamar redshirt?  :dunno:

So does that mean that Jamar lost his freshman year :dunno: point is that Frank hasn't really had freshmen good enough to "develop on the floor."  Who other than Jake and Jamar proved worthy of good minutes as a freshman?  Dom got too many minutes as a freshman because of the shitty options.  I guess I don't get your point since Wally and Rodney are the only ones who can even be debated.  Pretty sure that Wally proved Frank's point last night.  People are creaming themselves about him, but he still wasn't any good.

If you are a coach that loves winning and loves having a job you don't use game time for development.  Safe to say that Wally looks just as shitty rebounding and defending in practice as he did last night.

#17 defense.

 :bball:

16-12 USC is #1.

You can't possibly be that obtuse, check their offensive numbers and you'll see why they suck.

I met SR at a party this past summer.  She's hot!  I'm sad she's a KU fan.

Did you get head?  If not fail.  She's been in over 200 pornos, can't even imagine what that gash looks like

If you're willing to consider Eustachy or Sampson, just go all the way and hire Tim Floyd again.  He'll bring in the recruits.

Tim Floyd will be an NBA head coach within the next 16 months

only reason i ask is because i posed the question to some friends, and they were so quick to say "of course" and "blah blah it's just a fracking pinkie."

i say shazbot! no, would never do it.

Ugly people wouldn't care about losing a digit, what do they have to lose?  I'm beautiful and vain I'd rather KSU win at the expense of the ugly.

What's the deal with tomorrow's Pak?  I think we need to do a little leg work.  We need a place that has the Directv Sports Pack.  The local affiliate, MyTv, won't have an HD feed, so we need a bar that has YES, MASN, Altitude.  I also would love to find a spot with lots of KU fans.  I plan on doing more Belfast Bombers/Irish Car Bombs and I want to talk crap.  Love the Pumphouse, but feel it may be too quiet tomorrow.  Suggestions?

at the risk of sounding Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!), while a #1 seed would be awesome, I'd rather play the first 2 games in OKC, which we wouldn't do if we were a #1 seed, correct?  And there's not that much difference between a 7 and an 8/9, and I'd argue that it's more likely that  a 10 wins and there is prolly a difference between a 10 and a 7/8/9.

The number one seed from the St. Louis bracket plays in OKC. Thats where they have KU right now. If we were a number 1 seed, KU would have to lose out the season for us to get that spot. I'd rather be a 2 seed in OKC than a 1 seed somewhere other than OKC

It's amazing how basketball stupid this fanbase is, very KU football like.  College basketball did not start in November.  They have used the pod system for 6 years, no excuse for not getting it.  The first and second round pod sites have NOTHING to do with the second weekend.  There can be 2 #1's at the same pod site, there can be a #1 and #2 seed from the same region at the same pod site.

Look at the first weekend in four team mini tournaments.  Each pod site, 8 of them, will host 2 four team mini tournaments.  The NCAA will attempt to place the 16 highest overall seeds close to home to sell tickets.  In this area it will be possible to have 3 top 16 seeds, KU, KSU, UNM.  Despite UNM's ranking they are no shoe in for a top 16 seed.  KU and KSU will be one of the top 8 seeds.  Both will be in OKC.

Please stop talking about this, I'm sick of reading it on this board

Playing in Stillwater is a little different than losing at home.  Oklahoma State played their best game of the season, and KU got in too deep of a hole.  When that white little pig boy is hitting threes from 26 feet out, they're pretty damn good.  While we're on the subject of trashing each other's "bad" losses, did you happen to see who won the Kentucky/Tennessee game on Saturday?

Losing to a Tenn team with only 6 scholarships players is a bit different than losing to a Tenn team at full strength.   Douche.

Wow.... just a HUGE difference there between the Tennessee team that KU lost to, and the team Kentucky lost to.

Goins & Tatum scored 16 combined against UK, they were sitting at home against KU.  16 points is pretty significant, no :dunno:

Well, if nothing else, he is very handsome.
But so very insecure he has to recruit butt ugly players. Hard to believe but Mizzou got even uglier with the googled, goon Moore getting minutes with the injury to Stafford, their only handsome player. It's like the team rejected Stafford like a organ donation that was a bad fit.

WTF, he looks like a wildebeest, a true embarrassment to the truly beautiful biracial.

I'd love to play OSU again.

Not scared that Anderson may go off and/or Page may Voskuil us? Although I think the team would love to have a second crack at them.

That game was not lost because of Anderson as good as he was.  KSU was awful offensively that game, didn't check kenpom or statsheet but I bet it was the worst offensive game of the conference season.

And has some defensive lapses.

um, aren't we comparing him to jhr?

not sure if he'll get more minutes next year with an older jhr and asprilla.  it prolly won't be as annoying if he doesn't then though.

At the Wichita Pak I made the argument that JHR should have his minutes cut next year, I would love for him to even be redshirted.  Not that I think he sucks, I don't, but he should be the fifth option at the 4/5.  Kelly, Judge, and Samuels should all progress faster than JHR, and if Asprilla lives up to even half the hype, I just don't see available minutes for Jordan.  If he gets many minutes it will be at the expense of a better player.  He's taking Lou's minutes this year.

I'm gonna be bitching like crazy when we get screwed out of a number 1 seed.  It's gonna suck.

Umm, we would have to win out (inclding Phillips 66) to even have a chance at a 1, jfc.

Negative.  First of all recently the committee has not placed MUCH emphasis on conference tourneys when assigning #1 seeds.  Win the next 4 and the #1 is a lock, teams generally in the top 3 in the polls and RPI have no problem with 1 seeds.  Winning out would give KSU a 1 seed in either Houston or St. Louis.  Kentucky likely gets STL.

44822
I don't think MakeItRain used the best example to support his anti-Currieism, but he's right.  There's still just as much weirdness* going on up there, and we're still paying every coach we don't give a crap about while Frank's in limbo.

*non-"transparent"

This, Trim is smart and stuff.

I came out a bit too aggressive and it dilluted my larger point that some were clearly too stupid to understand.  I'll try again

firing adminstrators under the guise of saving money while at the same time hiring new highly paid adminstrators thus blowing the money you supposedly saved=giving new contracts to coaches that aren't in demand in sports that lose money while the best coach hired in 20 years is made to beg for change like a bum on the streets.

The guy has not made many financial decisions yet but the ones he has made seem a bit contradictory, no?

44823
FACT!...The economy is in shambles.
FACT!...State revenues are down.
FACT!...Decreased state revenues lead to lowered educational allocations
FACT!...Too many people were suckling the AD dept administrative teet
FACT!...Firing people saves money

Are we going to forget or ignore that he has recently hired 3 new people in the department and I believe that 2 of those hires were for new positions?  I'm having a hard time determining when "fiscal responsibility" starts and stops.

If my opinion seems to really offend some of you, kind of makes it more relevant, thanks

He contradicted himself in his own release, confirming the reports that either he is stupid or full of crap.

shazbot! did any of you read the damn article before commenting?  Too dense to see the obvious bullshit in the release?  Yes, lets trust Currie, he answers his email.

yes i read it. But i guess i dont have it out for the guy. But feel how ever you want and act like a douchebag.

I have no issue "having it out for the guy."  He sucks and that won't change if he signs Frank.

Of course he's not going to give the actual reason he fired her if it's performance.   :users:

This is the obvious answer.

Agreed, I guess, but if she sucked why issue a press release that states she didn't suck?  She ran the damn ticket office, no one would have cared.  Again the focus should be on Curries inability to shoot straight.
