Full Jamaica review:
- #1 the beaches are absolutely beautiful and the water is clear AF. Snorkled every day and saw some awesome crap just off the beach, including lobsters, blowfish, and barracudas.
- They have 6 main flags they fly that supported the island through the years and made it what it was: The British, Canadians, China, US, Obviously the Jamaican flag, and I'm missing one. Possibly a euro one by the amount of visitors they have there.
- I was a minority by tourist speak. I rank the following at the resort as goes:
1. Canadians
2. Europeans
3. Jamaicans (Inlanders come down for the weekends and stay for cheap)
4. Americans (very few, but mainly Minnesotans)
- Food was horrible. Still trying to get my crap together from it.
- Jamaican time is a real thing. Mainly comparing it to the DR and Mexico, but they'll get to you when they get to you (customer service wise). Luckily bar wise, being the only person who tipped on the resort (American) I got treated well pak wise.
- My Canadian friend wanted to buy a joint one night and somehow ended up on a beach by several men and the leader being some white drug lord offerering Chrystal to him. Said friend ran like a lil B back upstairs to the resort.
-Posted that I broke my middle toe in the ocean. Definitely my own fault. Dove in too shallow trying to chase the reefs.
-River excursion/cliff jumping was badass.
-Literally rained 5/6 days I was there. Record for Jamaica in December.????
-buss driver on the way to the airport missed his exit and took some random country road where I was ready to be killed in the mountain today. Worst drivers on earth.
-cool crap:
1. Usain Bolts HS
2. MJ impersonater performance was effing amazing. They finished the concert with a free Willy song
3. Elizabeth Taylors old beach house was on our resort.
4. The blue hole: amazing excursion. Wasn't blue due to all the rain but I climbed up a river and walked down it to make consecutive 50 ft cliff jumps. Was pretty badass.
Overall: 3.5/5
Spracs was right, I love bob marley, but him and usain montages are everywhere. Customer service and the food sucked, but the country land is the most beautiful thing I've seen in my life. Hard to pass if you want your eyes filled with beautiful scenery and a fun culture. Ya mon!
