Well, a terrorist group from Sinai is riding around on motorcycles assassinating high ranking security officials in the streets of the capital and pulled a Taliban-style attack with secondary explosives at a checkpoint on Cairo's outskirts that killed six soldiers on Saturday morning.

This is one of those threads, where when it gets bumped you get this sinking feeling, because you know it's going to be horrible news.  Poor Justin.

I hope not. He is just what that region needs if it's ever going to find peace.

Disagree. If I had to guess, I'd say this is mutually beneficial and Egypt is pushing really hard for it.

Egypt is hurting from a massive (like 90% or something) downturn in tourism, which is vital to their economy. Germany and 4-5 major European countries issued a historic travel advisory that also extends to Sharm, et al after the tourist bus got bombed in February. That's devastating to an interim gov trying to establish some legitimacy with prez elections looming about two months out and a notoriously restless population.

I bet they're paying the Biebs a crap ton of freshly minted Gulf cash and promising prez-level security. It'll be a huge international event, so Egypt wins b/c tourism will rebound and Bieber wins b/c, well, Bieber always wins. Deal with it.

If you didn't have the advantage of wire tapped calls between Justin's agent and Egypt you wouldn't be so damn cocky.

I watched it on demand and it was uncensored.

If you watch it online at comedy central, it's uncensored.
