Not sure if it's a peeve so much as a curiosity... But what's the deal with people who feel the need to spit into the urinal before they start peeing? Like I don't think they just spit a lot and sometimes it happens to be at the urinal, it seems like a very specific and deliberate ritual.

Eh, urinal doesn't bother me but in terms of spittin' the amount of snuff chewers we got onsite causes me to be pretty grossed out. all the bottles/cup with spittle in it, and hell being in a meeting and like 5 dudes just spitting the whole time. So :barf:

death, taxes and both cleveland and the royals winning every game they play.

I definitely enjoy that of the top 5 the Phillies, Yanks, Dodgers are paying insane amounts for wins and lil ol Cleveland and KC are racking wins up pennies on the dollar

The utter inability to see what's clearly in front of them is honestly impressive.

I don't see how we have enough money to pay him and Avery at the same time in 2025.
Surely a wealthy Western KS donor can sell a few extra steers to fill Linkon's bag.

A great season will lighten the billfold of many a donor

Someone explain to me why I love watching the NCAA tournament and can't be bothered to watch the NBA playoffs.

I think it's mostly single elimination vs series makes Cinderellas possible in one and improbable in the other, and that is like 90% of why anyone watches the tournament vs playoffs. People crave underdog stories and big teams falling flat on their face against teams absolutely thrilled to be there.

Was at local ball field watching my grandson in a baseball tournament when I saw this sign. Now I understand picking up seed shells and gum is a pain, but is this really what we want to teach our kids? Rat on the other team's players and get an easy win. My first thought was Nazi Germany or USSR. Turn in your family and friends and get rewarded. I mean if my kid ratted out another player on the other team I would so embarrassed. Maybe it just follows the COVID vaccine mandate big government thinking. Just sad.

(image doesn't load because amazonaws doesn't like gE but it's a sign saying using seeds or gum on the field is auto forfeit)

While an auto forfit seems extreme, I can't fathom linking that tho to FBI informant stuff and big gubment. The one dude screaming about it being a Karen is probably the right call (and probably that own dude's wife).

I think we go 11-1, win the CCG, get a bye, win that game, lose semis to UGA or w/e by 2+ TDs. We use that as motivation for our year next year when Avery wins Heisman and we go 16-0

If that happens I want the KATZ to go all in in NIL etc for the chance that the second part. I'm talking use the next 3 or 4 years of NIL funds to get giddens back for another year and sign all the impact portal players. Could we outbid Texas or OSU every year? Absolutely not, but for one year maybe.

It's highly unlikely that we will have QB as talented as Avery in the future so I say YOLO it while we have our golden haired purple hearted football Jesus slinging the pigskin for good ole KSU.

Exactly where my head was at. I think this year, especially if it plays out close to that, is how we approach 2025, with the way we start the season in Ireland, with a junior and experienced Avery who has the hype really ratcheted up, and our big name donors push all in.

It makes the summer go better when the Royals are doing well.

Do you need to play the game to enjoy it?

I've never played the game, and I am actively enjoying it. It's kind of like The Last of Us, but also a Western, but also the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt turned Rambo.

Halfway through and that's a fairly accurate way of describing it, though I haven't fully consumed Last of Us I feel that show is in general far more apocalyptic/desperate where Fallout is more "well we did this to ourselves" so it seems less desperate and more we "welp we're like this cause we done mumped up!" Makes it less serious I guess (not that it's unserious or not dealing with something serious just has more of an air of whimsy with it). Also probably because Fallout is clearly set in a timeline divergent from our own (in terms of tech development, style, etc) and Last of Us is very clearly modelled on our timeline had said infection become a thing, it's only divergence really is the infection.

Yeah that is pretty damn surprising. To even have a passing K-State knowledge of why we even have the wabash cannonball should tip you off, let along be like "hmm let me type this is in and search "what is wabash cannonball"" is pretty ignorant, boarding on complete intellectual incuriousness

I mean I'd assume on gameday they'll be more, they usually run 4 during high traffic times already. I also assume after all the entertainment stuff is built down there (cause there is jack crap of that rn) less people will leave en masse at the same time. Obviously there will be a  rush but after a game is done there will probably be enough people deciding to go have dinner or drinks right there that'll allow for it to probably be not as bad as it is now.

Guys, I think we go undefeated then lose the Big 12 Championship to a dark horse Big 12 team, then lose our first game in the CFB playoffs. Eerily similar to 1998.
I hate to be a Debbie downer, but I don’t think the Big 12 will be a lock to get a 1 loss conference CCG loser into the playoff.

TCU was a literal lock before we beat their ass in the Dr pepper and that with the 4 game playoff.

A 12-1 Big12 team with their only loss being in the Dr pepper will be in the 12 team playoff.

Correct, it would be pretty damn unlikely for 2 teams to not get in. SEC/big 10 will have 3, us and ACC 2, and then a G5 and polly ND will be the norm
