I don't want to make the HBBIQ posters mad, but Jake did kind of choke in clutch didn't he?

Yeah, he did.  No reason to go off on him like a bunch of 7th graders.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

If any other player on the team played as shitty as Jake, they would never see the court.

His attitude is fine. He wants to win. He's just not making enough plays. Simple really.

The "attitude" of a one-man offense trying to take about 3 people off the dribble and turning it over or taking a bad 3? I can see he wants to win, but he's simply not good enough (at least this year) to continue trying to be Michael Jordan in end game scenarios. If it's reasonable to try and make a play, fine, but he's forcing too much (ex: watch the play when he got to the rim & missed the 2 FTs. He had an easy pass to a baseline-running Sprads for a wide open 3, but was too busy trying to force something to even see that it was available).

It's this same attitude I've been frustrated with most of this year.  :dunno:

Even with the mistakes he made, I want the ball in Jake's hands in those situations every time. Every time. The TO was bad, but I still want him making a play.
problem is that more often that not he isn't making the plays.

No

People get the ball stolen, he went to the same move he always goes to, Burks made the play, crap happens.  He is limited, can't go left, nothing we don't know.  He didn't make a play, it's far different from a choke.

Senior AA don't get rough ridin' stripped by underclassmen to lose game you idiots.

it's hard to believe a human can be as stupid as you seem.  i'd like to believe you're someone's sock.  but you aren't funny either.  you'd be a lot of work for no payoff.
I know you think you are being cute, but STFU.  He choked hard.

Jake didn't make enough plays tonight, but this game was far more than the plays he didn't make.

He's still our best playmaker.

And its not even close.

I understand he thinks he is better then he is.  but he is playing himself out of the NBA with this rough ridin' pussy attitude.

I am in the mood, I want to beat someone's ass right now.  I hate that I am not somewhere where I can show you what a pussy is.

If Jake wasn't such a pussy, we win this game.

not really.  higgins played great d on him all game.  the last play, cu's best player, an nba first rounder with long arms and good feet made a play.  that's why he was on pullen, because he has that ability.

MAKING A PLAY!!!!!!

So no matter what happens in a close game, the guy or team you want to make a play has to make said play or it's a choke.  You do realize that there is another team out there right?  If making plays were that easy there would have been no need for a "clutch" play in the last minute, KSU would have won by 50.

What are you talking about? He plays great defense.

Yes, he makes too many turnovers, but he's still our best playmaking guard.

By far.

We got hooked by a group of idiots.  Seriously one of these dudes is repeatedly calling Jake a pussy, another two are talking about how much he sucks, and yet another thinks Jake is obligated to make a play late just because.  Using any type of logic or reason is pointless.

I realize that Jake is trying to be the playmaker and step up and be the man at the end and win games and all that... which I can appreciate. It's just very frustrating when more often than not he fails because he tries to do it all himself. I hold him to a higher standard than other players, because he's shown us he's better.
