I bought a few shares of a cannabis etf during the gme craze and it's been doing really well until today. I haven't once googled the name of the fund or anything past buying it on my bank's app and checking the price periodically on the app. Today my Google News feed is filled with 6 stories about why cannabis stocks are crashing.

I don't usually care about the privacy stuff but scrubbing info from the bank app feels dirty.

Same, i'm becoming more and more aware of it though and have considered a VPN thingy or something I probably won't be able to set up right. I have my work computer and my home computer next to each other and I slide over a few times a day to dick around on here or whatever. I started noticing ads for things I was doing on my home computer on my work and was like . it took me forever and I realized I had logged in to my Amazon account on my work computer at some point so i was seeing the ads there.
