I will say, the words of the whistle blower make for some fascinating second (possibly third and beyond) hand reading.

Have yet to read a single note of first hand knowledge.

He/She would make a great reporter.

The whistle blower should be naming his sources.

What's amazing to me is how many are willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt for not saying things like, "Do me a favor." I mean, COME ON.  If you know anything about him, you know he's constantly doing shady stuff.

If this scandal takes down both Trump and Biden it will be an enormous success.

DNI essentially saying the whistle blower is operating on at best, 3rd party hearsay.

I feel kind of bad for this guy. He's obviously caught between doing the right thing and going against his boss. Going straight to the the people involved in the complaint for advice on how to handle it is pretty wtf though. Imagine dax hearing that about Obama

I don't watch Fox News and when are you finally going to properly reference the screen scroll (s) from CNN and MSNBC as the source for all of your posts?

Until you do, we'll have to drop all of your posts  two full letter grades.

What has he/she been wrong about so far? Pretty amazing if it's "second (possibly third and beyond)" and it matches the "transcript" of the call. Maybe he/she is wrong about the cover-up though...

We didn't have to hear that 3rd and 4th hand about Obama, we got to watch that dude blow up whole countries live on television and then we also got to see him not offer any plausible explanation for doing so (among many things) . . . we got to listen to a lot of pleading the fifth by his lemmings and watch the "YouTube Video did it" tour on live TV as well etc. etc. etc.

No enraged biased partisan whistle blower touting 3rd and 4th hand knowledge needed.

They were clearly a witness to nothing.

Trump has literally already admitted to the worst part of the allegations. The only uncorroborated stuff so far is that he tried to cover it up, which Trump already essentially has a pending indictment for.

I need a link to a concise straightforward story of this whole thing.  All my news on this has come from postings in this thread and it all sounds like stuff I assumed happens routinely.

I’m now interested in what exactly you think happened.

Politicians using their power/influence to try to get stuff they want for personal gain.  That's bad obviously, but I haven't picked up on what makes this particular thing unique.

I haven't been paying much attention, but I think the gist is that Trump wanted to trash someone (Biden) he figured he'd likely be running against in the presidential election. Apparently, a US politician accepting election help from a foreign nation is illegal.

Also, he attempted to do so by withholding aid money, which seems to be a pretty horrible abuse of power.

What a hypocrite. She was against one president getting impeached for one thing but in favor of a different president getting impeached for a different thing.

lol
This would be more lol if libs weren't clamoring for impeachment 24/7 ever since election night just because they lost to a reality star.

Only the last part is notable to me, if he was leveraging something that isn't his to leverage for his own campaign goals, although that's a blurry line that I'm sure every incumbent candidate trounces over to varying degrees.

And the legality of who can assist shady politicians in elections shouldn't be dictated by what country they're from.  What's any more ethical about an american business doing whatever it takes to get someone elected in exchange for favorable treatment thereafter than an entity in another country or that country itself doing so?  It's all kind of mumped up but ultimately, it's the responsibility of the voters to not be dumbfucks and see through all that and vote for the person who'll best to the job correctly.

I doubt trump needs the ukraine's help to get enough idiots to vote for him.  He just has to talk crap about mexicans and blacks at the necessary times.
