World Cup Travel
« on: December 18, 2022, 09:25:57 PM »
Planning on catching my first ever World Cup match in 4 years.  I will travel to KC for the game.

I plan to just pick a country who is playing there and then dress up like their biggest fan ever.

Let's get everyone to show up dressed for the same country and have a huge tailgate at Arrowhead.

If you go with France I would love to wear a beret and smoke cigarettes.

Have to sneak in a full baguette like that guy did in Qatar this year.

Yes.  Picture 20 or so of us with mime attire, cigarettes lit, hoisting baguettes, screaming "viva le france" as we march through the Truman sports complex parking lot.

I think we need to have a live ranking of all the potential participants over the next four years to decide who we root for (highest ranked KC participant)

This is going to be such a war in my building where short-term rentals have always been prohibited, but there's a handful of people who want that changed.

Pete it appears the market has shifted, I will pay you a $200 a week stipend to stay at my house in a nice king size bed with a nice dinner provided nightly.

Japan would be good. Would have to source a bunch of purple kimonos because we would probably want to reuse them if we ever play a football game in Japan again like we did against NU last century

I think you get a free pass if you're rooting for their team in a WC

I plan to just pick a country who is playing there and then dress up like their biggest fan ever.

First of all if you wait a whole 4 years, you'll miss the thing by about 5 months.

Second of all, this guy could give you lots of good ideas on how to be a fan:

What if France was playing Japan and we wore berets and then switched at halftime to kimonos?

What if the USA is playing? Flag shirts with eagles everywhere?
