When I got out of the Army I went roughnecking in the oil fields. Also, my younger brother was roughnecking. One day he got caught up in the cathead and it ripped his shoulder out of place, tore his elbow ligaments, and broke his thumb completely over. He did what the doctor told him not to do, and did pushups every day plus several different exercises for his thump and shoulder. After a few months, he was back roughnecking. To this day you would not know what a serious injury he had, as not very many survive what roughnecks call "riding the cathead". Also, I have never seen a roughneck lifer(20 yrs or more) that wasn't crippled in an oil rig accident.

My dad checked some of the 69 game cams he has set out there and apparently we have some turkeys roaming around the front yard. I've never seen any out there and mentioned that to my dad and he replied "you also don't think there are any wolves out there"

(My dad claims "red wolves" were reintroduced to Oklahoma 20 years ago and are roaming our land but that is false)

Another Turkey pic. Also pictured is lil red, the 2004 2wd Chevy s-10 my dad bought as his "farm truck". Then there is my brothers souped up golf cart that made some appearances back in 2020 when he was "bead shamed" for his poor welding skills. This golf cart hasn't worked in 1.5 years but my brother keeps saying he will fix it.

Last but not least there is my brothers old 1997 CRV with 300,000k+ miles on it that stopped running while he was out there 2 years ago.... hasn't moved since we towed it to that spot.

I would use a Stealthcam that has the cellular connection. It will cost you $20 a month for the plan, but they work really well.

Heading out to the farm this weekend with my dad so he can show me how to switch the irrigation pump from my aunts land onto our land (we get irrigation on our circle for one week a month during the growing season due to some agreement and being the heir apparent to some primo crap ass western ks land I feel like I need to learn how it works).

Anyways my dad claims we are down to like 200gpm (gallons per minute for you non farm bros) now when it was like 800gpm back in the day.

Farm inflation update. I bought a box scraper today. Cost me a thousand more than when I priced them a couple years ago.

4 8 ft 2x12 for my bench... $200.
