It's just good to know that at least one 2024 Presidential Candidate has the mental capacity to stand trial, while the other one who had secret documents in places financed by the Chinese and who was giving classified information to people without security clearances and openly storing them in places with easy access for those without security clearances . . . is too mentally feeble to stand trial.

The jury and alternates were selected on Friday. Opening arguments were on Monday. A guy named Pecker (no joke) has been on the stand for the prosecution rough ridin' Trump. He worked/works for the National Enquirer and outlined the "catch and kill" scheme to benefit Trump's campaign in 2015/2016. The trial is expected to last at least 6 weeks. Slow going, thus far. They are only in court 4 days a week (no Wednesdays), and they seem to have relatively short days and long lunches.

There are social media examples of ppl praying to Trump, a guy set himself on fire outside of his current trial not too long ago, he sells scraps of his clothing and they lap it up, his fans that used to dog on sleepy joe for being  incontinent now have shirts saying real men wear diapers, and he has the most self-proclaimed patriotic ppl stating we need a dictator.  I don’t think I can be surprised by how in the tank his ppl are anymore.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that, if what little semblance of democracy we still have is going to die, I wanted it to at least be some 5D chess ultra clandestine “who could have seen this coming?” reveal. But no, we have this pants pooping demagogue who has absolutely declared his intentions and an alarming number of people are just lapping it up.
