Drinking Ommegang Hennepin tonight

Fantastic choice

First time I've had it and it was fantastic.  I got a variety pack that included a blonde, amber, and wheat as well.  All are very good, but the saison is definitely best.

The gf picked out the ones she wanted. She only wanted the two fruity crap beers like Abita strawberry and shocktop apple. I picked out some gems. Lagunitas Sumpin Sumpin, Sierra Nevada Hoptimum and Bigfoot, and Myrcenary, one of my all time favs. So it's completely my fault that it ran the price up.

I suggest you work on this and get her to like the better brews. Some simple tasting of your choices, as opposed to her more frutiy choces, and some gentle post-sample coaxing, should do the trick. This has worked for me in the past.  :)

Oh believe me, I'm trying. I've gotten her onto better wines, but I think she's got a mental block of some sorts that all beer is going to taste like bud light, so she hates it before she tries it. I won't give up this fight though

Rolling rock tastes like it has water and or pennies in it.

you know what rules but kinda sucks? this place in Vegas

http://www.publichouselv.com/

it's great food and great craft beer list (for vegas) and you can get a growler to go of all their stuff but then you realize you are in vegas and you are going to need to drink all day and can't just get wrecked on 10% alcohol expensive beer at lunch and you get sad and then leave and get a 3% alcohol Eiffel Tower or electric guitar of daiquiri.

yeah, vegas is really for drinking gallons of coors light, not sipping a flight of Belgians

Meh, just imagine how much more you would have spent on them at a bar...

I have lots of random craft beers leftover in this house that I am moving out of at the end of the month.  Most of them are very high ABV. This next month of binging could be awesome.

Tonight (so far), Bell's Two Hearted Ale, SN Bigfoot and Myrcynary.
