Yea I wanted to make sure before I throw down $150+ for it.

Also, maybe my wife's perception of video games will go from terrible to meh.

Just bought NBAK11 about a month ago and haven't stopped playing it since. The my player mode is amazing.

Doubtful, the last good one was 2k8 or 2k9, can't remember which one. All I know is that 2k10 sucked comparatively, so 2k11 probably isn't any good, either.

although i've mostly been playing GT5 and trying to level up.

like i said, this could be good as i'm hopeful the replacement they send me has hdmi so i can get rid of these stupid component cables.

Yeah, GT5 is pretty fun, kind of wish the online and visual car customization was as good as Forza, but good game nonetheless.

There are insane deals on PC games on Steam every day until January 2nd. Has been since Christmas. I picked up Dragon Age Origins: Awakening for 14.99, Deadspace for 6.80 and DiRT 2 for 5.00, among others.
