They are everywhere... you just don't know it because they're usually wearing t-shirts with just about anything else on them other than a UCF logo.

Like 2/3 of that enrollment are 30 somethings taking 6 hours of night school, or Orlando area public school teachers enrolled in virtual courses to get another step on the pay scale.

Nothing in my first hand experience with UC supports a commuter school label. The enrollment/campus experience seems exactly like that of the other schools I've been around.

Per US News, 24% of UC's students live on campus vs. 23% of K-State's.

18% for UCF. 17% for Houston.

I don't think Cincy is quite the same. They have highly regarded design and architecture programs that draw people from across the country. My company partnered with them on multiple design co-ops and everyone we got was great (and from outside of Ohio). I mean their stadium has some pretty cool architecture surrounding it!

There may be a commuter aspect but they are legit for some things.

Again, my first hand experience is that it's identical to others. Tons of apartment complexes and kinda run down converted houses full of students and not much else in the vicinity.

This is how we're going to talk down to them, let us have it. If they bring this stat up, I'll tell them that 24% represents all of their traditional students. The 76% who live off campus average 31 years old and they are in school to jumpstart their 3rd career change.
