Remember how last year we were so far out ahead of things and had everything all locked down and tickets selling way in advance? That was cool, but procrastination is back, baby!
KK's planning to get an itinerary and pricing nailed down this weekend, and maybe even have fattyfest dot org updated to match and sell tickets.
Here's the basics - October 20 - KSU bye week, so there won't be like 3 alternate schedules depending on what time the football game is.
Registration/check-in, at least for Part I, will probably be around 11am. Part I will be a scavenger hunt done in teams, all within walking distance from Mae's. It'll be competitive, but not so much that you won't be able to booze a little bit as you go. KK's working on the exact rules and timing, but it'll consummate back at Mae's.
There, we'll kind of transition between concluding that and setting up the trivia contest that is Part II that should be ready to go about 2pm. We'll have the usual auction/raffle going on throughout, and there'll be time to grab something to eat. Trivia will be just as it has been each year.
We'll wrap up the paid-for portion of the day like we have in the past around dinnertime and everyone can do whatever they want, and either pass out or ideally come back to Mae's where at least one of gE's musical acts will be performing.
We're hoping this year to get early team commitments and sales done for trivia. There'll be group/team discounts to that end, as well as a combo discount of some sort for your same team to be in the scavenger hunt and maybe some advantage in that game. You'll also be able to do just the trivia or just the scavenger hunt if your schedule only allows for one. KK will be working out all the price point math and having mocat check it and getting the full details out. We're thinking teams for both events will be capped at 6 members.
That's the extent of what we know for sure at this moment, but we wanted to at least get this update put up here so that our core base can be reminded to save the date and have an idea of what it'll look like, as well as to start team-forming that I hope is as dramatic as NBA free agency season.
Questions for now?
Also everyone can start looking around for things they'd want to contribute to the auction. T-Y.
